See her family is like a team they work together. I be in the kitchen on Thanksgiving all alone prepping and cooking. My feet be hurting bck pain, headache 😩 😫
When children are little it's understandable; however, a husband/partner/wife... should be helping. They can watch TV and peel or chop on a tray! Even the ex helps me make the dressing (stuffing) then he gets the cheese cloth and puts the dressing into bird then puts it in a big bag into oven. How is it a holiday if you're in pain?!
The items that take a while to cook make the night before, except turkey. Turkey goes on 325 around 630-6am to slow bake. You could continue making whatever you didn’t do the nite before. My food is always ready early thanksgiving morning. I’m not in the kitchen after noon for nothing. Must get rest before company arrives. Then you could enjoy your company and not be exhausted
I love watching your videos and I want to say that you and your husband are heros on my book with the way ya'll took in children and made them family. We need more people like ya'll in this world. Ya'll made a beautiful family together. Happy Thanksgiving. Your food always looks so good to me and I've tried a lot of the food I seen you make. Thank you for ideas for cooking different foods.
Seeing you cook for your big family makes me so happy, my family for thanksgiving only cooked the turkey and the sides were all frozen 🥲 glad to see people actually enjoying the holidays
you are a powerhouse, woman! wow. I thought I did pretty well with 4 children, but man, you got me beat! looked like you had a wonderful meal and fun family day! it's what it's all about. blessings to the bell family!
We had 30-35 people in our machine shop for Thanksgiving dinner. I was in my kitchen from 11:30-6:00pm. When it was time to eat 6pm I fell asleep in my recliner rocker and missed the get together. I was told all went well. Lol.
Thank you Mrs. Bell. Happy thanksgiving to you and yours as well. And happy thanksgiving to whom ever is the bread winner. Together you guys make a wonderful giving and caring team
I thought I'd add this comment here (I answered someone else in a thread below) but thought hey, maybe others might like to know what we do in Canada :) so read below : Fellow Canadian here...I don't know anyone who doesn't make a pretty big spread, very similar to this...I always make turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes casserole (no marshmallows tho, lol), green beans with burnt butter sauce and sliced almonds, carrots with tyme and cream, dressing (also called stuffing, these are the same thing...just called different names if you actually "stuff" the bird, which I don't. When it's cooked separately -which is what most big families do, it's called dressing), homemade cranberry sauce, roasted squash with brown butter sauce, that's what I make, when others come they bring additional sides. Oh, always white rolls. Dessert, always 3 pies. Pecan, pumpkin and Apple. Usually have app's like cheese balls and crackers , fresh veggies and dip and drinks while we make the meal. The menu varies from family to family but I'm 54 and I don't know anyone who doesn't make some variations of this menu :) fun cool fact. Thanksgiving was actually started first in Canada! Yup. It's true. It was first celebrated in 1857 to celebrate the safe passage to what is now called Newfoundland. It wasn't celebrated again until the 1800's, then it was a celebration to thank God for a good and bountiful harvest. The date moved around from year to year usually somewhere around October as it was a celebration of "harvest" . In 1957 the Canadian Gov't set the date to the 2nd Monday in October. While how big the celebration is does waiver from family to family, it is definitely a very widely celebrated holiday and most employers give their employees the Monday off, although it isn't one of the Canadian "statutory" holidays. There are parades just like in the US with the largest one in Kitchener, Ontario. Just a little bit of history. So...Canada actually celebrated Thanksgiving 47 years earlier than our neighbors to our South. :) who knew ?? Happy Thanksgiving to all of our wonderful neighbors 🦅🇺🇲
My pies are made on Wednesday. Bread for stuffing is prepped.fresh cranberry salad is made. Potatoes are peeled and put in fridge. Thurs turkey is stuffed and sweet potatoes , green bean casserole, baked corn, and whatever other veges we're having. Oh and the table is set and decorated the day before.
Great job on everything mom bell. You need a spa day after all that cooking. Everything looks so tasty. Hope your family had an awesome thanksgiving ❤❤❤❤
Wow mama, such a big spread. I'm 51 and disabled but I just caught Wal-Mart appliances sale so I can get back in the kitchen. I loved it so much cooking and baking. Will check out recipes so I can have fun and meaningful life again. Your kitchen looked so good. Blessings.

Not fair. If someone doesn't come along to help, stop doing it and tell them why.
If they’re going to eat then they should be helping you

This is truly beautiful, wished we had thanks giving here in the UK ❤🇬🇧
In order for the eggs to peel easily you can crack them lightly first or poke a hole in either end. Peel like a charm -even fresh eggs.
Nice job Wonder Woman - You're the Bomb - God's Blessings to you and your beautiful family 🙏- Cheers from Canada 🍁
I'm pretty sure my invite was lost in the mail 😂
