Eminem himself was a fan of so many OGs, and now he is someone that others look to for inspiration--the trick is to never forget who brought you to the dance. And Em never does. He know what shoulders he stands on, what shadows cast themselves over his career. That is tough to do. You gotta drop your ego and remember that this is all about the person vibing in their room at 1 AM on a Saturday, when all their friends are out ballin, and they got no one. Except for a rap record.

This song helped me thru my recovery from addiction and then the depression that followed. I can remember lying in my bed with my headphones in and crying to that 3rd verse at like 3am. Always loved this tune. Reminds me that others struggle the same as me and as weird as that sounds it helps keep me going knowing I’m not alone. Good reaction 😊 🏴 x

I’m 35, the first rap record I bought was DMX. My second was the Slim Shady LP, that came out in the late 1990’s I was in the 8th grade. I’ve been a fan ever since. I’m from Michigan, so it it’s harder for me.
Damn making me feel old lol I can't even remember what my first CD was, But my first album was an LP of greatest chart hits 😂. The first Eminem shit I owned (and was the first time I heard him) was a mix tape/CD I got from my brother back in 1997, 2 years later he appeared in the charts with My Name Is and the slim shady LP - Which I bought straight away of course! In 1997 I was 17. I was a massive fan for a number of years after that... But kinda dropped off by mid 2000s, Didn't really like his stuff anymore from then on. This my personal taste/opinion no hate :)

I remember I had a weed dealer (before it was legal where I’m at) and I thought I’d been listening to em for a long time I’m 23 so I was in grade 5 or 6 when I first heard the Eminem show but this dude told me he was selling weed in 99’ and he remembers hearing about this white rapper and he bought the tape and played it in his car that was the Slim Shady LP crazy way before aux literally had to put the CD in lol just thought of it from your saying you know some people have been rocking with this dude for years as it turns out I’m actually a way bigger em fan then him he was all I knew and listened to for about 6 years until late high school found j cole and Kendrick future and the weeknd etc my music taste really broadened then but honestly I think that’s why I love channels like yours so much it takes me back to those early days I still remember every lyric
