Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park Camping Vlog | Gainesville, FL

Head a few hours north with us to Gainesville to camp at Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park. We first stopped at the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens to enjoy the best the area has to offer. Then we headed off the park to set up our tent and get settled for the evening.
The next morning we headed to the visitor center, and were lucky enough to get some views of the bison that roam the prairie.

So happy to see your visit to this park. With family in Tennessee, we frequently cross Paynes Prairie on I-75 and have often wanted to visit the park, especially after I discovered that it is populated with wild horses and bison. Great video.

This is exactly how we first learned about it, was driving through on the highway! We were so excited to see the Bison! Just wish we had brought our binoculars lol It's definitely worth a visit!

Paynes Prairie is a must visit state park in Gainesville. Cool place. I haven't been to this botanical garden. Have you been to Cedar Lakes Woods and Gardens? Very beautiful botanical garden near Gainesville. Nice video 👍

Thank you! We have not visited that garden yet, but it is on our list! I saw a video of it since we got back, but didn't know before our trip! So definitely next time!!
