I enjoy how the American ones put more effort into the light show aspect, but I love the music at the beginning of the Japanese one. I don’t know why, but it makes me remember the amazing day I’ve had and feels more like it’s wrapping up the visit to Disney, whereas the American version just feels magical and spectacular, but doesn’t feel like it’s the ending to an amazing day. Maybe it’s just the fact that I’ve been to Disney sea way more than america(I live in japan) and have heard it playing while I leave the park multiple times, but it just feels more romantic and nostalgic, like it’s indicating the end of the dream-filled day, and when it transitions to the fantasia theme, it’s like it’s saying, “but wait, there’s one last magical experience to be had before this day ends”
That dragon entrance was amazing!! The dragon was in the mirror, and I was thinking, "I know an animatronic dragon is going to appear here. How is it going to show it getting out of the mirror?". Note that I thought the mirror had an electronic screen and I guess i didn't it was made out of water or something else the whole time. The dragon just pops it's head out of the mirror and it caught me be surprise! Great entrance!
seen both the Fantasmic Shows in Disney Land California and Disney SEA in Tokyo, and found both to be awesome in their own way, I loved the song "Fantasmic" from Disney California, but i loved he song "Imagination" from Disney SEA so much more! Opening Scene in Disney SEA, use of fireworks and laser effects was for me better, but the Peter Pan boat scene and the final steamboat float in Disneyland California, hands down brings me back and taps some of my happiest "childhood memories" .. if you have a chance, watch both! so worthit!
What they need is a Fantasmic with Tokyo's intro, the Peter Pan segment from California, the Disney Villains segment from Orlando, the dragon from California, and Sorcerer Mickey fighting Malifecent, Magic vs Fire, and also they need to get rid of the water projections and add some movies, and newer fireworks, lasers, etc. oh, and the hint of the sorcerer's apprentice at the end. Pure epicness, who agrees?
I went to see this in Tokyo, and I can seriously say that it was one of the best things that ever happened to me. It was amazing, this clip can't be compared with the real thing at all. Both me and my friends was in tears, lol. また見たいな〜〜
I see people saying that this is better than Florida's Fantasmic, and I agree, but Florida's Fantasmic has a mountain, and California's Fantasmic has a cabin
Flying Taco Truck I'd say go in the fall instead. If you live somewhere cold it should be warm enough for you and it's not full of vacationing Japanese :p
I ws there last week of november and I'm from a cold climate. So I was in a sweater all the time while the Japanese wore coats and scarves :p. Admitedly it got chilly when I stopped moving during the show and the wind was blowing on my back, but I started walking and got better.
I absolutely LOVE Disney World's Fantasmic because it's just so beautiful. I saw it last Tuesday when I was there for spring break and it was so amazing. I was in the front row and I got SOAKED by the water! It was awesome. I think that this one is cool but not like the Disney World one. The one at Disney World is a classic for me. ❤️✨
+Skoorlit (living trash) Its the mill on Tom Sawyer's Island. Since 1955, guests have been able to play on that island by day. But when Fantasmic arrived, it astounded people gathered around the river by transforming into an incredible show right on the Rivers of America. Some folks like the stadium seating at the Hollywood Studios, but for me, let the show rise out from the waters.
You just can't go wrong with a classic. TokyoDisneySea's version of "Fantasmic" adds some new material to the classic 1992 Disneyland/1998 Walt Disney World show, while still retaining a fair few of Bruce Healey's themes from the original. Sort of a mix of "Fantasmic" with a bit of "World of Color" thrown in if I had to describe it to others. I liked the new animation of Mickey, the Old Hag from "Snow White", and the small bit of Ursula from "The Little Mermaid" that we get here, though. :)
They should do this in Epcot like for a one time thing or something to see how it goes since that I'm sure has enough space to have all of this and if its good enough have like 2 fantasmics at HWS, since they usually have 2 shows whenever they do perform the show, and then have 2 different shows I think that would be amazing.
I wasn't as huge a Disney fan in 2006 when I was stationed in Japan and had the opportunity to go to Tokyo Disneyland, and have been kicking myself in the butt for it ever since.
Disneyland california's one are the king of all the fantasmics! Has the better dragón, better audio, better final boat, better scenes, peter pan scene and more
+Ewizaboof Dewitt (Kaiju) The sailing ship Columbia (as Captain Hook's pirate ship) is really spectacular in scale, and one of the highlights when it goes around the Rivers of America.
I'm a Disney World annual pass holder, and I have SO many reasons why all the Fantasmics are wonderful in their own ways.. But in my opinion, get ready to be BLASTED WITH WDW FANTASMIC FACTS. First off, Pocahontas' segment in WDW's Fantasmic is a perfect way to transition into a princess scene, with her being a princess herself, and we have a mountain and not a cabin. We also have, a while not complete looking, awesome looking dragon that looks like it's straight out of a child's nightmares. We also have the iconic scene of Sorcerer Mickey appearing on the top of the mountain and controlling various beautiful effects and you can't beat that. That's just my opinion, though!
+Ewizaboof Dewitt (Kaiju) Oh man, I'm going to have to fight you now. JK. I worked at Disneyland's Fantasmic, river boat driver. I was an attractions CM by day running the Mark Twain and the Columbia Sailing Ship. Loved how we transformed those two vessels, Tom Sawyer's Island, and the Rivers of America from this idyllic daytime setting into a nighttime spectacular. Florida's show is excellent of course, but the brilliance of the Mark Twain and Columbia in starring roles... that's hard to replicate. It's ironic that you might think California's show doesn't flow well. That's because you're used to your show, and I'd think the same about the Florida version.
If you're a huge fan of Fantasmic, then you would enjoy watching all 3 versions. You may have your personal favorite but it doesn't mean that you can't enjoy all of them. Please stop arguing on which Fantasmic is the best, if you're going to talk negative about any Fantasmic, then keep it to yourself.
I think the new visual elements are wonderful, and I love how kinetic the show is at times, with so many things happening at once, yet in harmony--sort of a symphony of sights. On the down side, I much prefer the original songs over the new ones, and this version lacks the tightness and tension of the other versions, for lack of a better way to describe it (mostly an issue of music and transitions). Overall, Disney did an excellent job of giving us something familiar yet new and fresh.
Thanks for making all the Tokyo DisneySea videos. ive always wondered what the forein disney parks were like. And your the first ive seen do the POV's well =D
Seems there’s new animation sequences made specifically for this version of Fantasmic! I love it! Something that’s not edited from any of the original films alone!
I like this ending the best out of all Fantasmics. We need more Sorcerer Mickey fighting the dragon! That and the beginning is just epic... Probably my favorite if I could understand what they are saying...
this looks petty awesome its cool how they keep the original music in as a nod to the california and florida versions but also has a completely different show style
Stitch! :D I absolutely love him! I've got a Stitch hat, 8 Stitch pins on my lanyard, Stitch poster(I got it signed!), Stitch T-Shirt, 2 Stitch plushies, Stitch Disney Infinity Figure, Stitch backpack, and did I mentioned I got the hat signed by Lilo AND Stitch?
Jesus Christ past me, you did this a year ago? I thought I collected the Stitch shit 4 months ago, not a fuckin year. We fucking hate Angel why did you make a comment about her. YOU ARE A MESS.
It's not that we don't have imagination I love Disneyland but in my opinion I think the one in USA is better the begging the audio is funky the transition are weird and at times it's TOO MUCH you can't focus
This show used so much more water projection than the original Fantasmic. Everything behind the Hat screen at 02:17 is water projection. 06:48 zebras, mufasa, water projection. The mirror scene at 13:30, you guessed it, water projection. Since the stage is huuuge, the size of the screens are on par, or even bigger, than World of Color's. In fact, this fantasmic showcased many technologies that are new to disney, such as humungous spherical projection at 09:46 (internally projected).
I have been to Tokyo Disney twice: In 2003 and in 2011. Loved it! Haven't seen their version of Fantasmic, however. You will definitely have no problem with language inside the park. I don't speak a word of Japanese either. You might have a little trouble at first finding your way around the Tokyo subway & train systems. Had a nice chat with Ariel the Mermaid at their "Meet and Greet". Nobody else in line. Of course, she couldn't break character, but was interested when I told her I lived close to the original Disneyland in Anaheim. It was a bit of a struggle for me to make out her broken English, but it was fun anyway. Got a nice picture taken with her. The picture from my own camera was a lot better than the version from the park photographer.
It really is the culture. They don't want to be rude. They really don't scream on coasters. But what I hear in the audience after, they are saying things like "wow" and "that was amazing." They do enjoy it, they just show it differently.
Holy crap that was awesome, even better than the one here in the states. I do wish this were translated though, but I guess beggars can't be choosers. I may not have been able to understand a lot of it, but I didn't need to. It was essentially the same plot as it is in the states, so there's really not a whole lot to translate.
You know, the only thing I found fault with this show was how slowly Mickey was retracted and raised into/out of the stage. If you've practically memorized his appearance/disappearance from Disneyland or Disney World in time with the music, you'd expect him to appear and disappear much faster; as if it was truly magic.
Talk about working with your limitations. While it's true they have limited screens and only part of a dragon, they compensate by having a F**KING ACTIVE VOLCANO! More park shows need Volcanos.
Wait, so Steve Davison went to Tokyo to do Fantasmic there. And he efen used the same fountain units as with World of Color in Disney California Adventure Park.
I was mesmerized by the beginning and, I have to admit, I got tears in my eyes when the main theme started playing! TwT Is it wrong of me to think that this version is the best out of all the versions of Fantasmic? :'3
While I love how technologically advanced this production is, I feel like it looses a lot of the heart of Fantasmic? Especially in the section where the princesses usually are, instead of showing us the princesses it was just projections of them which was disappointing :(
I think it's because they have lots of windy days as Tokyo Disney Resort is located near the sea side. Water Projection wouldn't work well in the windy day. They even have windy days ver. of this show. And also, as this show can be watched from 360 degrees point of view, there are lots of positions where those water screen cannot been watched well. I agree with you that the WDW & DL ones are great shows, but I also love this show all the same.
You're sooo right. My personal favorite is the WDW in Hollywood studios, maybe since I saw it first and first impression was amazing, but I think the one in california is just as awesome too since it is the original one (as you may say it) and I love this one too because since it is done recently, it has very good effects. The point of the shows is to enjoy and know that with imagination you can beat anything, and it is really true.
Wasn't really feeling this version .... maybe because in America we have a solid stage to work off of ... The ending didn't really give me a thrill either. Disney is more than flashy LED, lights which sets DL, and Wdw Fantasmic apart
Aaron Griffin well the good things about this version is that they actually remembered Hunchback of Notre Dame by adding an instrumental version of “Hellfire” to Chernabog’s part
The American versions are better than Tokyo's because we have stages (man made mountain with outdoor seating in Hollywood Studios and Rivers of America in Disneyland). I personally love Disney World's Fantasmic better because there's places to actually sit although I think we need a better dragon because it's just a head rather than the whole dragon like at Disneyland. Both of the Fantasmics here are amazing (Disneyland just updated theirs to be more "modern")
671JH the fantastic at Disney world sucks compared to the one at Disneyland. Disneyland's fantastic is superior in every way, better fireworks, better props, better finale, better river boat, etc.
@@gunandbomb4637 we all know that you use etc. because you ran out of things and also I agree to a degree that the Disneyland version is better just I wouldn't say it completely sucks it just kind of drops things out of nowhere when in Disneyland they use more transitions.
Oh, I totally wish I could go to Tokyo DisneySea... I've been to DisneyLand and World (with Land being my favorite of the two). My sister-in-law took a trip to Tokyo a year ago and DIDN'T GO to DisneySea!! I told her she was absolutely stupid for missing it. By the way, the only reason I new that it wasnt a falling star in the video was because I mistook the SAME thing in a different video and was corrected by somebody else, so I can't take credit for seeing that. Hope you have fun on your trip!
The music and the vocals that they have brought to this version are amazing and they should incorporate into the version's at WDW and DL. Both the shows would benefit from an upgrade!! Its a shame that they couldn't provide all the effects and stage presentation to such an amazing soundtrack at Disneysea. This truly is where disney thrive!!!!
The dragon just pops it's head out of the mirror and it caught me be surprise! Great entrance!
This was one of the most memorable moments of my entire life so far.
I just cried. Don't know why. Too beautiful! Wish i could go there and see it with my own eyes

This is better than Disney World's version BUT NOT better than Disneyland's version!
World fantasmic need a serious upgrade.
Leo Lim yep
Leo Lim nope, it needs to stay in the 90s.

@@turkeydinnerchewie2499 At least change the head on a stick dragon.
Unbeleivable footage-thank you so much for sharing!!
I love how in the original Mickey says “Hey, What’s going on?” But in this version he just says “*Stuff in Japanese* Whaaaaaaaaaaa?!”
Wow!! This Fantasmic show at Tokyo Disneyland is really cool!!! Especially the beginning where Mickey is on top of the Sorcerer Hat!
It’s okay everyone the Disney villains are gone!
Y’all can come out now

Absolutely loved Disney Sea! Want to take the family back again! And we just came back!
I like how Tokyo Disney makes all the original classic Disney Parks stuff but with a twist!
This was a really great recording of the show. Thanks for posting! :)

Going from the Circle of Life to an epic guitar rift of Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride. Pure awesomeness!
I like the part circle off life guitar style spring roller coaster ride that was so cool 😎 👌
11 people were in too much awe of the beauty that they accidently clicked the dislike button.
Wish they incorporated some more Disney villains: Jafar, Cruella, Hades, Scar, Gothel, Zelena, Gold and Faciler would have been great additions
Another reason for me to visit Tokyo!!
本当にミッキーお疲れ様でしたこれからもベランズともたたかえはとてもすてきですこれからもぱーと3と4もベンランズをたたかてくださいミッキーお疲れ様
Okay but can we all agree that the way the dragon comes out through that mirror is pretty awesome!
I was been there 2014 with my girl friend, the show is really fantastic and make us so exciting, a very lovely summer night we had.
The dragon looks so much cooler in this one, the one in Florida does nothing.
Also, the one in California the Dragon are amazing.
Yeah, the california's one are much better than all others
The one in Florida = NIGHTMARES FOREVER.
Half-Ripped wings.
Almost torn apart body.
Glowing yellow eyes.
AND THE FACT IT SPITS FREAKIN FIRE
+Skoorlit (living trash) holy shit, me 1 year ago you weren't even an AP back then calm the fuck down
I agree. We need a new dragon
I see people saying that this is better than Florida's Fantasmic, and I agree, but Florida's Fantasmic has a mountain, and California's Fantasmic has a cabin
Disneyland Has A Cabin. And A Mountain... And better lighting effects, and a 4 story river boat, And Lazers, Not To Mention Our Pirate Ship.
The new Fantasmic of Disneyland will make owns Disney World version into last place.
That's it! I want to go to Tokyo now!
Make sure you go during the summer when its warm!

The sorcerer hat/stage is awesome
I just realised the Fantasmic 2.0 used some of the music and video clips from THIS Fantasmic.
When Mickey appears and reappears it is really bad. For example you can see Mickey on top of the hat before the fireworks queue
International Rocket Launches Agreed, not surprising.
I’m pretty sure that was a one time mistake... every other video I watch and every time I go the lights usually turn on with perfect timing.

I'm sorry, but when compared to our soundtrack of the show, this can't even compete.
The effects throughout are absolutely amazing, though.
Totally agree with you on that, bro. The tech in Tokyo is nice and all, but you get just a fantastic feeling with it in Cali.
TokyoDisneySea version is best!!!! Using very high technology
Especially in the section where the princesses usually are, instead of showing us the princesses it was just projections of them which was disappointing :(
I believe that all of them have their positive and negative points. I love them all dearly, and they are all unique in their own special way. :D
Ammmmaaazzziiinnnggg!!!
Can we get a version of Fantasmic that has elements of all of the ones around the world combined? I would watch that even if it was an hour long
Yes Mickey’s imagination is bigger over here! I must say the effect starting at 16:56 was an excellent touch :D
i love this version aswell as walt disney world
