Blocked Air Vent

Air vents are for allowing enough oxygen into a room for the fire and yourself to both live happily. Never block an air vent and I would recommend always placing a carbon monoxide alarm in any room where there is an open fire or stove.

Dose it matter if the room vent is high up or dose it have to be down low ? I'm thinking of getting a stove fitted

Thank you for your question.
With a lot of my answers it depends. "sorry" age of home, type of stove and the list can go on.
As you are thinking of getting a stove fitted I would recommend getting someone round to check out what you want to fit and were its going to go. Here is some links for stove installers and chimney sweeps. Sweep the chimney before any of the work will save you a lot of questions later and it is required before you line a chimney.
