    THANK YOU!!! You gave excellent help and saved me $700. I went to a U-Pull-It salvage yard and found a truck that had the module but no knobs! Someone took all the knobs (which I did not need) BUT left only the plastic part I was searching for. I could not believe it! Total cost = $0 and literally because of your video only 6 min to fix. Totally appreciate you making this video.

    Anytime I can make a repair for the price of a month or two car payments, I consider it a no brainer! Good job and wise decision Bruce!

    Yes! This is my problem - just the knob! Thanks

    Great video, thanks! It might be helpful to know that if you can't find the exact controls for the Titan, you can use the controls from a Pathfinder that has basically the same climate controls with front and rear a/c and heat! I just did that, you just have to cut off the rear ac/heat part of the clear plastic base that the controls are attached to, AND, use a drop of glue to anchor the right hand end of the clear plastic assembly because you won't have a screw hole. I just did this and finally I have control of the drivers side temperature setting.

    Really pretty easy! Looks doable. Glad you explained your toothpick JB Weld fix bc that's going to be my intention - something along those lines. Great video.

    Your Titan looks friggin immaculate.I got a 04 and it doesn't look anything close to yours. I got broken plastic everywhere and I try to take care of it but it's so fragile

    • @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10
      @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10  Před 8 měsíci

      Yes their plastic does get quite brittle with time. Our truck mostly sits and only gets used when we do something that requires a truck. Gas is just too expensive these days.

    Hello im wondering if i can send you an email of a part i found on the nissan website for this exact problem i dont know if this is the part or not

      I would recommend you call a Nissan dealer and confirm the part number with a Nissan parts department person. That's how I found the correct part for my truck. I don't know the part number, they just ordered the part they told me would fit and it did thank goodness.

    700.00...... I would drill a hole in the center of the fan switch and make a extension to go from the actuator , through the top and put a knob on it.

    Nice job Bruce. Would it be a hard job to replicate the part concerned if you had access to a 3D printer?

    • @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10
      @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10  Před 11 měsíci

      That is a good question. I don’t know the answer though as I have zero experience with using a 3D printer. I’m sure it could be done if you know what you are doing.

    I’m in a bit of a rabbit hole, my A/C flow keeps kicking off and on, no flow, but still adjustable when it is on. I ordered a blower resister but I don’t think that will fix it. What was your actual symptoms when the climate control model began to fail? I need to the check the system pressure and the pressure switch still.

    • @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10
      @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10  Před 3 měsíci

      My issue was a broken plastic knob. I could not change the fan speed. Unfortunately you can’t just change out the knob only.

      @@DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 Thanks for the reply, I think my control model isn’t the issue. I think a may be low on pressure due to a leak. I have owned it since new, it’s just now starting to break, but better to fix than buy a new truck. New prices are insane.

      That’s definitely an option but I don’t want to be chasing parts and changing this out two or three times a year. Also I’d have to travel to find a salvage yard as we don’t have one like that in the area where I live.
