Had the pleasure of meeting her back in the early eighties, she was very kind and a valued client. RiP Elizabeth

Elizabeth Montgomery deserves to be remembered for more than her work on the BEWITCHED series. She has done much more that she needs to be remembered for. I remember an episode of THE TWILIGHT ZONE where she did the whole episode with no dialog. Wow!

Her best work is, “The Awakening Land” from the year 1978. It’s a 3 Part Series.
The Awakening Land from 1977-78 was an excellent Mini-series with a great cast Elizabeth Montgomery was very good in her role.
Remember her doing a made for TV western shortly after she left bewitched. She was a hottie on a horse who told her male companion that he needed a bath and that both she and his horse would appreciate it 😅

BE//WITCHED was the only TV series that Liz ever did. She was asked about doing a TV series prior to BEWITCHED. She said that she liked veriety in her roles. But she did it as a way for her and Asher to work together.
Liz seldom spoke of the series, until 1989, then she opened up on her experiences on the show. Her biggest love was for the cast and crew. She called doing BEWITCHED was like going to college. Liz learned a lot about production.
I saw a comment from somine who workrd on MY THREE SONS and they said that after five years, some of them got tired of the repetitiveness of a TV series.
Liz didn't go braless throughtout the entire last season. This wasn't her first expression of her beliefs, in this case, women's rights. One of her first political opinions was when Liz came out against the Vietnam War, and received death threats. She was right. The Military Industrial Complex and politicians, at the time, lied to the American people, while their kids were getting killed and maimed.
Liz continued her activism by supporting minorities, those with disabilities, Amnesty International, and was one of the first in Hollywood to support AIDS research and Gay rights.
Elizabeth Montgomery was willing to do a nineth season, which it had been renrwed for, but it was Bill Asher who desyroyed their marriage. He cheated on her and she ripped into him.
Liz said she'd do another season, IF Bill Asher were fired. Ackerman said that he couldn't do that. Liz said that BEWITCHED was done.
This is from Harry Ackerman's son Peter Ackerman's new book on his father. He overheard the phone call between his father and Liz.
To this day, he thinks of Liz as Aunt Liz. ❤

Lots. Some actors wrongly think the show success was them when it really was writers, the script concept or just being at the right place at the right time.
It happens quite a bit - just because people like them as a certain character, they think they'll like them equally or more in anything else. Sometimes they are right; often, they are very, very wrong.

@@peterkerr4019 what's worse is that usually after one spinoff flop, those actors are dumped off the list for potential new shows. Studio execs then know the original shows success was not them.

Toward the end of the show, the scripts were repeating themselves. Montgomery's marriage to the Producer of the show was on rocks. He was having an affair with one of extra's on the show. Montgomery began an affair with one of the shows Directors. In 1971, Montgomery and most of the cast had enough of the show and announced they would not return. The entire cast would have had to be recast. Instead, the show was ended, not cancelled.
How dare they pay her more money and continue to support her career! Those monsters!

Growing up in the 60’s and 70’s I know I’m not the only one for whom Elizabeth was his first crush. She was an absolute beauty! Even then I thought the show was corny but there was no way in hell I was going to miss an episode.
