    Hello I just got back from installing my new headlights on my 07 Chrysler 300 Touring. Last week I tried to do it WITHOUT taking the bumper off. No Bueno couldn’t reach the bottom bolt to the headlight. So my bumper came off according to your video. I also bought a box of plastic clips , different sizes. I also figured if I was taking the bumper off I’ll just swap out the fog lights. New LED fog lights. Well 2hrs later the job is complete. What a difference & the front almost looks brand new. Can’t wait to try it out at night. Thanks for your video I studied it the last 2 days. Saved a lot of money on labor & I enjoy working on my car. Thanks again!

    Thanks for video. FYI for anyone changing headlights on a 2009 Chrysler 300. I changed the headlights today and there are 3 (10mm) bolts behind the plastic wheel shield on both sides holding the front bumper cover in place. If you only have one bolt, then someone did a shoddy job and didn't replace the bolts. You do not have to remove the bumper cover from the car, you can just remove those 6-10mm bolts and pull the bumper cover forward and let it hang; you will have all the access needed to change the headlights. Also, you do not need to unplug the side markers if you do not remove the bumper cover from the car. Additionally, if you use the correct grommet tool (don't know exact name, but it looks like a 2 prong fork), you can remove and reuse those plastic clips at the top of the bumper cover under the hood (i.e right tool for the job). Those plastic clips at the wheels are one time use, so be prepared to buy new ones.

      The correct tool for the fasteners would be great. My 2005 only has one 10mm bolt on each side.

    Thanks for the help. Engineers who design things to make them harder to work on should be shot. Instead, they get promoted because the dealers can make a killing doing otherwise simple tasks. After fifteen years, I discovered the left assembly never had the bottom screw installed. It didn't line up just right so they skipped it. This car has 240k miles on it and the only major work done has been to replace the A/C compressor, and replace front suspension parts. The engine 3.5L engine is still strong, but I'm holding my breath regarding the transmission and rear end. No signs of issues yet, but they can't last forever.

      I almost lost my shit working on these. I had to fucking break my old headlights where the bulb connects to the casing because the fucking bulb would NOT unscrew. and then when I installed the bulb on one side would not screw IN! Could have been previous owner bought wrong bulbs perhaps but holy FUCK i could not be a mechanic bro god bless them.

    If you dont wanna go through all that...buy a t27 star bit that is magnetic that goes on the ratchet and a long extension...and just push down on the top of the bump... and put the extension through and line up the star bit with the star bit bolt on the bottom... its way less work and time. Took me about 10 mins to do both.

    • @MartinsUsedCarsCollectiblesLLC
      @MartinsUsedCarsCollectiblesLLC  Před 4 lety +2

      Crxst6n - They should fit your vehicle. However, I would make sure you buy from a company that allows a return for a full refund before purchasing the headlights in case they don’t fit.

    • @midnightterminator
      @midnightterminator Před 3 lety

      300c and 300 headlights are not compatible because they are shaped and wired differently. If you want to convert your stock halogens to LEDs, you can just change the bulbs.
