That weird sounding truck you asked about, i might be wrong, but it sounded like a 2 stroke.

What I love about these oldtimer meetings (our city also has one every year) is that they are the most European events I know. Classic car owners come from all corners of Europe to proudly present their vehicles. The mood is always cheerful and peaceful and one moment you're having a nice smalltalk with a Scotsman about the stylish whitewall tires of his 1958 MGA Roadster and the next you're behind the wheel of a pre-war Alfa Romeo racing car ((build 1923) driven across the Alps by an enthusiastic Italian.
You don't even have to be a classic car fan to simply find this fantastic.

Tatra’s designer named Ledwinka sold one of the models to Ferdinand Porsche. Some parts are interchangeable between some models of VW and Tatra. I use to have a Beatle 1963 and I could replace wheel rims or headlights with Tatras build up to the mid 50’s. The suspension systems used by Tatra ( the front & rear torsion bars) were used as far as on Eurovan (T4) build from 1993-2004. And obviously the flat 4 cylinder air cooled. Tatra started V8 air cooled 2.5 L on T 805 truck and on car T 603. Diesel V8 started on T 138 & 148 and is still used on a new models. Before the V8s there was a strong V12 on previous models like T111.

Not knowing exactly for anything, but the little tractors seem to be of the Lanz-Bulldog Pattern, or that may just be the English name. Basically a single cylinder fuel-oil engine with direct drive, and a clutch that essentially engages or disengages the drive. To reverse means reversing the engine rotation... but these seem to be the 5-10 Hp versions, low power but torque out the wazoo.
THE two-stroke motorbike in the 50's GP circuit was the CZ or Česká Zbrojovka, they pioneered the expansion chamber in the exhaust system.

Unique brands that rival the more known ones and most of them are even better tasting, or some of them lets just say that. Cheap well... or cheaper then in the rest of shops/markets/supermarkets/groceries, anyway. Like u dont really pay extra for the brand, just the product, cause its in house, or well those that produce stuff for Lidl, subsidiaries or whatnot. Anyway i like to shop there. Maybe i butchered some info but i think u get what i mean.
Also about the cars i lived through the era of some newer models there and it was pretty common to see going on about, nowadays its a rarity only probably most of the time u can see it on these events. Also that dark blue one yeah, its a Skoda Rapid 7:00 (dont know what year, forgive me) but it was like a sportier version of this 10:43 that beige or brown or what color is that, and this red 5:00 is even earlier of this one 9:13 (5:29, like a evolutionary step to the one in 10:43) and all in between etc. many models with few differences and u can search for it if interested by adding Skoda 100, 110, 120, 130 etc, quite many models.
Or try this one type in search ŠKODA 130 RS A5 :) ure welcome .

the green-white police is Wartburg, from East Germany, it even has DDR code plate and say's Volkspolizei(People's police)
...the old timey Škoda were Felicia, Octavia... 1960s... the names would be reused from 1990s onwards. The "more modern" would be Škoda 742 series - 100, 105, 120,125 most commonly, 130 Rapid would be the sporty version - those are mid 70s all the way through 80s. The entire series is rear-engined, which is pretty uncommon for "regular" cars.
Bakelite three-wheelers are the legendary Velorex cars.
This event itself is in Mladá Boleslav, town where Škoda Auto factory is.

Well Czechia, we drink more beer than anybody in the world, we were a factory land for germans during the history and even now. We had many grear inventors during soviet era, but our progress was stopped many times. We are also one of the most atheistic countries in terms of centralized religions, but we are spiritual on natural level. We also have history of killing our politicians and we defended against the crusades as well. If you mix Russian and German nature in small country, you basically get czech person.
Btw look for Skoda 130 LR, 130 RS, Favorit rally and you well see some of those in action.

I'm from Norway, but I have had some eastern European cars.
At 2:22, the Mustard/yellow colored Skoda I had, one like it. Only mine was dark green.
Then I had a Skoda Favorit, a few years later.
I have had 3 Ladas. Because I didn't have to much money.
And they were very cheap, but reliable, and with an amazing heater, which was perfect in our cold climate.

Yes, they were Eastern cars, when the Berlin Wall came down some of them made it to Western Europe.
When I was a car mechanic in the '90s a friend of mine bought a Barkas B_1000 van, men that thing was loud, high revving, and very very slow,
here are some stats and specs of them if you are interested.

Great video! Actually it's a mixture of old Czechoslovak (Škoda, Tatra) and East German (Wartburg) cars plus some other brands. Our family used to have that Škoda 1100 MB. Very cool car! Similar tractors like thos were also home made. During socialism you couldn't buy anything so people made a lot of stuff themselves at home, including tractors or racing cars. And then that canvas moto-car called Velorex. It's actually starring in a super cool and funny Czechoslovak movie called "Waiter, Scarper!" I highly recommend you to watch if you can (if you wanna absorb some more Czech culture and life.
