my parents have always given me the idea that they had an amazing marriage, that they only had fights bc it’s normal. they only made me think that bc they looked at me as a child. my entire family has always treated me like i’m a little kid. my mom and dad brought me out into the family room bc they wanted to “talk”. so, i sat down, probably 1 minute later they started arguing. my dad was calm bc he dealt w arguing parents and he understood it was hard. but my mom, she was screaming. that’s so unlike her. my mom has never shown that type of anger, well atleast i’ve never seen her like that. i’ve heard it once or twice but that’s it. i had to sit there for 30 minutes up to an hour listening to their constant screaming and yelling. i was there for 30 minutes up to an hour holding my tears in bc i wanted to look like i wasn’t scared. idk what to do.

For me having Asian parents and knowing a lot of parents grow up to be a certain way send to believe certain things I don’t necessarily feel unsafe at home but it’s killing me having them argue and be argumentative when I get home from work and or school it sucks being at home all I can do is cry and listen to these audios to calm me down I can’t even count the times where I was so close to ending it all it was bad and it still is bad and no one at school listened to me people think I’m faking my depression for attention they think I did something wrong and everyday people judge what I wear and what I do what I like what race I am I can’t help but feel depressed and wanting to die life is just hell I wanna escape from it all but knowing I can’t run away police gets involved then school has to keep watch of me and stuff and I hate that this is my life is gon to complete shit

So it's not my parents arguing with eachother, it's my parents arguing with my older brother. I myself am not in a completely okay mental state and whenever they argue in front of me I end up wanting to cry so hard when I go back to my room. They argue at the dinner table, the lounge, public places and it upsets me so much. I dont know why I get so upset, but in the end I'm affected by it too. And it sucks cause I'm just trying to have a nice day and then they start arguing. It's so frustrating to see them argue over anything and everything, and I end up crying over it too..
