Everyone's trying to be over competitive in dota 2 even in low ranks. That's why it's more frustrating for them to lose. I think they should play dota 1 once in a while just to remind them of the feeling that we got when don't know shit about items, macro and micro skills, etc. We just enjoy the game and that's what should matter

We have a group of 14 ppl and we still enjoy the dota 1 on LAN in a Cafe in Mumbai once every week... Trust me all are 30+ in age yet abuse, scream and behave like kids.. Its such a stress buster for us..CM mode or SD mode is ❤️... Glad we still cherish this since past 10 years and yeah 1 hour of CS1.6 in between for a break with untitled and Dust 2 maps and Awp some times... Still happy times for us... 😃

Back in the day, I used to play through Garena but then it stopped. Then i switched to RGC. But I'm not able to find the right installation for RGC atm.
I've got Warcraft 3 already installed. I just need to know which client is used for online play & where can I find it? This is a nostalgiac experience for me so bad ❤️❤️

Me and my friends play dota2 almost everyday, at least 5 matches per week. This is amazing because we live in different places now. And if it weren't for dota, maybe we could lose our friendship bit by bit for daily commitments. Sometimes we trash-talk each other but still laughing at the end of the day 🤣
Its like a shortcut for the LAN times, but now, its not the money that ends and we need to go away, its a son, a wife, a job.. then we do the duty and come back to dreamland! Our 2000's escape 🤩
I miss those day when i need to run as faat as possible to reserve computer at internet cafe for 5 table and play with my friend.

We reserved cafe fo 2 schools, and best players of school came a long amd played for a bet. We used to play for Cola or loser pays for both side game time. sometimes for a little cash. Damn those old days. sometimes we played 3vs3 2vs2 stuffs with bets.

There is Iccup the Russian servers which is really active like dota 2. Even more active, I can say; and you can find that "meta"s there

DotA2 might have smoother animations overall, but there are just some WC3 (Non-reforged) models that just hit right. Anti-Mage, SF and Slardar last hit animations + spell animations are a few to mention.
Blizzard art direction is the only thing that is still OD to this day, they just dont miss artwise. Only half of Dota 2's roster even has decent design, let alone animations...
@@deyzunasbunker I would agree on the Art direction, as I prefer Warcraft 3 artwork (because the lore is great and they fit thematically well), but on the animations, there are a lot of animations they have developed specifically for each hero when compared to Warcraft 3, though some of Dota2 animations and effects are just a 100% miss for me, examples (Slardar, Juggernaut, Terrorblade, many more to state.)

Man how nostalgic dota 1 is, i remember when i was new to dota 1 and bought battlefury on jakiro thinking i have cleave effect on ranged hero. often played on cyber café with my brothers before switching to League of Legends for a while.
Kinda wish blizzard activision didn't fucked up the remake because i was looking forward to it when it first announced.

I remember 2004 or so, high school skipping classes with friends to go to PC cafes and play TFT in LAN. We mostly played melee and custom RPG maps and have found some weird map called DotA 2.49b (b for beta) or similar thinking it might be something cool and we should try it out... Around 20-30 heroes, maybe more available, most of us were so bad that it mostly came to which hero was the most broken at the time and whoever picks it wins the game basically. We got hooked pretty fast and have since played BETA version of that new DotA map (or whatever it was called) every time we went to the PC cafe ever since.. The map was so good, every new version of it had something new to look forward to, nobody could remember which items you need to buy in order to create something more powerful from them (recipes, or how recipes worked) but the fun and good times playing it were the best ever... It's weird how times goes by so freaking fast, how we're forced to grow up even though we don't want to (at least I dont)... I played DotA 2 a few times but it's not even near the experience of original DotA map whenever I played it as a TFT map. I'll just stay with the last old DotA AI map that has been made for Wc3 and play that vs bots when I get some time off and remember the good old times with friends in the PC cafe. Value your moments growing up and friends that you have, it will all pass waaaaaay too fast..
back when i would watch my uncle playing dota1 bots everytime he plays it. one day i get to play it and goes all insane bots because i wanted exactly how my uncle played it. the campaign mode was lit. i remember i had to type the allpick command to trigger it during picking phase. damn dude
3 years in college, I watched my roommates playing this thousands of times and even have tournaments. -cm for such tournaments game, and when 2+ players left early on, they said rmk (remake).
You can see enemies mana bar, wtf!!!! That would be such a huge buff for AM in Dota 2
thats a reforge feature, in original wc3 you didnt have manabars at all, in reforge they added them
but when dota zvei came out, manabars were implemented only for allies for some reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Dude thaat was so CLASSIC, The ALT-Q-Q insta quit. I rember playing without hotkey you press numkeys for the fking items, imagine playing tinker without hotkeys, then when hotkeys was the meta, and if you forgot to play with it you acedentaly ALT-Q-Q the. Suddenly quit the game

Oh man the nostalgia, I haven't played this game in years either. I remember hating the hotkeys before and just pressing my abilities and items with the mouse.

What i miss in dota1 is the voice actor really unique
Those voice and the way they talk are actually on warcraft- lore, that's why it sounded so cool, while dota 2 voices sounds like dota-lore. Dota 2 can't copy the voices from dota1 because the legal owner to that voices came from warcraft(Blizzard).

I came here to watch this 2023. 2 years ago I felt very excited people take some actions to make a better maps, can work well with dota1 reforged. I mean I tried the map that was so messy. some heroes are oversize, or smaller. Today still the same. so sad.

@@lukthere2 same here, when i started playing Dota 2, I always queued as Abaddon. I remember only keeping tangos and salves the whole game xd and everyone kept flaming me, and I remember scoring the first kill as Venomancer when having 15+ deaths
Back when I started Dota I mostly playdd Nyx and thought he sucked so hard but I loved his design so I kept playing him anyway. I built phase boots and right click on him lol

Side shop was broken and we can thank Envy for exploiting it. During pro game he bought rings of regen [3x] and sold them before the full price timer runs out. smart man
Can still do that technique but I'm Dota 2, if you're playing offlane you can have free regen by buying Ring of Health then selling it before the purchase timer runs out (I think it's only for less than 10 seconds, after that you cannot sell it for 100% of the price)

@Rudolf Hiller what I care is voice, DOTA 1 voice is Godlike unlike DOTA 2. Especially the sound effects in hitting flesh and concrete building. DOTA 1 is superior in that.

I feel frustrated. In Reforged, you can actually the heroes’ level next to their health, plus their mana? And the items’ recipe are updated to Dota 2.
So nostalgic watching this, I was a chieftain back then.
I remember a game where a player named "Hmmmmmmmmmmm" using Tauren Chieftain and beyond godlike within 15 minutes, another player in that same game only has tango after 20 minutes.
i remember back in the day this is my first moba i played on PC, after playing 1 match i got motion sickness because of it and almost throw up. i dont know why but i kinda feel dizzy when focused beetween creep and hero. i don't really like the graphic ☹️
but i try dota 2 right away, after 2500+ match i finally reach Ancient. what a journey

Magina design and voice are totally better in dota 1. A blind elf with a very powerful voice is so lit. TBH a lot of voices from dota 1 were actually better and had more impact.

there is a more updated dota 1 map exclusively for RGC (ranked gaming client) its now on v7 something. somewhat inline with dota 2 map.
DotA is a masterpiece. The skins, the animations, the sounds. We still playing it on a good level in a league.

I never played Dota2 because I could not get over new visuals. This old palette of Dota1 makes everything so clear and visible, it overexaggerates contrast to make life easier for the player, I wish Dota2 looked like this
