A tip to your tip about travel-sized bottles: If you have prescription medications, the bottles seal well enough that you can put creams, gels, and body wash in them. Then, you can just toss the bottle before you head home. A little extra weight for all the souveniers you bought! Just keep it under the correct weight limit.

I know you were specifying about the ocean- any tips for pool girlies? How do I protect my hair against chlorine?
I think coconut oil will still do a lot to protect your hair against chlorinated water, rinse your hair under the pool showers as soon as your out :)
As someone who swims with curly hair...I saturate my hair with gulps of conditioner before putting swim cap on/deep condition (if it's a wash day). When I get out, I simply rinse the conditioner out (no shampoo) and moisturize. So far that's been working for me. No breakage or dryness.
I use the curlsmith intense serum before swimming.
About the coconut oil, I've seen examples of other women burning their hair after putting coconut oil and going to the beach... any comments? I see mixed views about this hack. Help, please!
