    16:08 Funnily enough, in the original book, Tarzan comes across the hut as a child roaming the forest. He eventually uses the children's primers his parents originally brought to teach himself to read and write, but doesn't know the sounds because he's never heard human speech. When Jane and the others arrive, they don't realize the Tarzan leaving them notes in perfect English is the same man they meet because he cannot understand their spoken English. He also uses the books to determine that his family consists of gorillas, while he is a human. It's also a lot more gory and quite dated when characterizing certain groups of people, but an interesting read.

Like I said before, the animation is, of course beautiful, but for me, it's just the way Tarzan moves. He's so graceful but he looks so solid. Idk how else to describe it but it's just so pretty and I can't get enough of looking at the way they drew his face and even his hands and feet (not a feet person I swear 😂) just an appreciative artist who can't draw hands and feet herself.

  • @sgauden02
    @sgauden02 Před 2 lety +35

    I actually had an idea for a fanfic where Kerchak's treatment of Tarzan, and refusal to accept him has terrible consequences. There is an old African proverb which says-"The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to receive its warmth".
    What if after being treated as an outcast by Kerchak, and being told that he will "never be one of us" for so long caused Tarzan to turn evil? What if Tarzan finally snapped, and decided that if Kerchak would never see him as anything other than a threat, then why not give him what he wants? The irony of it all would be that Kerchak treated Tarzan badly for so long because he thought he'd become a threat, but in reality, it was that very treatment that actually CAUSED Tarzan to become a threat, turning it into a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy. In this very moment, Kerchak finally realizes that if he HAD just accepted Tarzan from the beginning, he would never have turned bad.
    Of course, Tarzan would eventually turn back to the good side with the help of both Jane, and Kala before it's too late to stop Clayton.

    5:54 Jaguars are from South America, much bigger, heavier, deadlier, climb, run and swim. Leopards are from Africa, much smaller, live mostly in trees, eat smaller prey.

  • @snickbiordking5748
    @snickbiordking5748 Před 2 lety +30

    So according to my research, the difference between Leopard and Jaguars are the spot patterns. For example: The leopards spot pattern is a circle ⭕️. That's it. While the Jaguars, they have circle patterns BUT there are dots *inside* the circle pattern ⭕️ Imagine a dot is in the middle of that circle emoji. That's the pattern for Jaguars. And if you look at the cat in the movie Tarzan, it only has circles.
    Again this is just an example, the shape patterns are not in a circles shape. More like s messed breaking apart oval.

      @dorukgolcu9191 Před 2 lety +10

    This movie is special to my parents. Because their first date was watching Tarzan in the cinemas. My mom really wasn't expecting watching an animated movie. Because my mom said my dad was a little intimidating and looks kind of like a gangster.
    Plus now that I think about it, my mom said that my dad was always waiting when the food court closes (my mom works at a food court) so he can ask my mom out for a date. My dad has the moves. Like literally he told me there was this girl he wanted to ask her out (wasn't my mom, this was before my mom). That lady is working as a ice cream worker. My dad asked for *two* mint chocolate ice cream. He got them and he needs to pay. But he's holding two ice cream cones so he can't take out his wallet (this is part of his plan btw). So he ask the lady if she can take out his wallet and take the money but the lady said she can't do that (I actually don't why she can't do that tho 🤔). So my dad is like "Oh, alright" so he gaved two of the ice creams to the lady asking her to hold it for him. Took out the money and paid, he took *one* ice cream. And walked away, basically showing her a sign that the ice cream is for her and that's a *sign that someone likes her.*
    But it never worked out, my dad said she didn't like him back.
    So, basically my dad waiting for my mom after the food court that is about to close is a sign that my dad wants to ask my mom out. And like I said now that I think about it, that's pretty creepy ngl 😐.
    My dad asked her out and she said yes. But that was the second attempt. The first attempt my mom rejected him because she was busy. So my mom was very suprise that a guy that looks like a gangster watches movies like Tarzan. But she loved it tho.
    Also, like any other Disney movies. My parents got married pretty early. They met in 1998 and got married in 1999. So it's the modern day version of "Marrying someone you just met." But my brother is born in 2000 so they were really ready about starting a family.

They've since put it back in for current DVD editions and VHS). That's just a small aspect of it and one of the reasons why it's such an amazing movie and probably one of the most intense ever. Jaguars are bigger in size and have a robust constitution, this makes difficult for them to climb trees (they can though, but slower in contrast with the leopard), the leopards are slimmer and more flexible, and have have stronger claws that allows them to climb trees easily. Leopards have smaller spots and have a rectangularish shape too, the jaguars' are more wide and have a "rose" shape. Also, jaguars are only found in the New World, and leopards are only found in the Old World.

    4:02 Took me a long, long time (years into adulthood) to realise Sabor was probably still there in the treehouse because it had a rest after fighting two grown humans armed with a gun and then... ate a large meal... 😶 The baby wasn't going anywhere, so it could get to him later.

    Jaguars are larger and more muscular, with a distinctive pattern of black rosettes on a yellowish-tan coat, and are native to the Americas. Leopards, on the other hand, have a slimmer, more agile body with smaller, less distinct spots, and are found in Africa and parts of Asia

      when someone says EVERYONE has done something, something I haven't done, I'll probably point it out
      because that original statement was a blanket statement that clearly doesn't include everyone, so i was asking why someone would do that
      hm
      maybe because i felt like I was somehow not fitting in?? like gosh dang you just take everything in a mean-spirited way with zero consideration that other people have other expereinces and asking a question why someone would do something is an attack on you personally

    5:50 leopards have smaller/less distinct spots than a jaguar, and tend to be slimmer and more agile. Also, jaguars are native to the Americas, whereas leopards are found in Africa and Asia. Since this is set in the African jungle and she has a fairly lean body, Sabor is a leopard :)

    Leopard = Africa, rosettes spots and slimmer. Primarily tree ambush hunters.
    Jaguar = South America, spots in rosettes pattern, heavier build and wider range of hunting techniques and are better swimmers.
    Most obvious difference is different continents and fur pattern. Jaguars are a bit bigger too I believe.
