- I packed my first set of pencil packs to be used as filler at the Operation Christmas Child Processing Center for 2024! I have learned to start early, set a goal and little by little you will reach it! I hope this will encourage you to do the same! It really is fun to do and so needed at the PCs!

These are so fantastic, Denise! I made up some Christmas pencil packs as well but I ran out of Christmas pencils and then started on Valentine’s Day ones. ❤. Today, though, Trish found a DT with a bunch of Christmas pencils left so I had her pick up three more packs for me. My DT’s were cleared out. TFS. These are amazing quality fillers!

Adorable fillers! Thanks to people like you, word is getting out. The most consistent thing I saw during my volunteer time at the PC was pencil packs/pouches. Probably 3/4 of the boxes I touched had them. And some came in filler too... in zipper bags, tennis ball containers, etc. ✏️✏️✏️ ❤️

I purchase what I find and l pack where I’m planted…..
These are truly a Wow pencil pack. They are so cute. I just recently joined Pencil Granny & Friends and started making pencil packs for filler. My small Dollar Tree never does Clearance, also didn’t have those tins. I need to find a bigger Dollar Tree! Thank you for posting this, it is very inspiring.

I am looking for ways to diversify my OCC efforts. I think getting school notebooks at Back to School sales is an easy way to do that.
I also collect plush that is marked down after holidays.

I've been watching your videos recently. Your voice is so calming. Plus you inspired me to make trips to the store to check out good deals. I usually prepare my OCC boxes around october and spend a lot for ny toys and stuff. Now I'm making sure to always be on the lookout.

I made up some Christmas ones as well - using up the extra things I bought for our kids church kids (5x7 composition books, coloring books/crayons, fidget spinner/popper, Snowman Pencils and Stickers, and elf fling toys - along with all the pencils/pens/erasers/sharpeners). Got 30 for the first 24 challenge from Pencil Granny and friends. So glad I got involved with them, thanks to you bringing light to the need and the great group.

Here in AU it is Back to School season; The new school year starts in Feburary. So, I have been impatiently waiting for the switch over of Holiday to school stock. Got some great online 25-cent deals on pencil pack basics, including pencil cases (bags/pouches). I am looking forward to starting my 2024 pencil packs. TFS ✏️🖊

I've only made one so far for 2024 to try some new bags. Our Christmas company just left so I'll be ready to get going on OCC in a day or two but I'll be missing my 20 month old grandson!

Currently in the process of organizing my shoebox workshop so I won't know what I have in terms of inventory until it is all sorted out. But if it is possible to pack some pencil pouches for filler, I will try to do so.

Great video, I bought some tins like yours and I was wondering if crayons would be ok inside the tins or do you think heat would melt them?
Yes, absolutely fine to put crayons in them! They are so cute and fun to fill up! Go for it!
You could put in markers, if you're worried about crayons.
