- It had been 20 years since our last Summersault festival saw The Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, A Perfect Circle and a bunch of other amazing artists. Relaunching Summersault this past summer was a beautiful thing. We captured the show on film & this live performance is OLP at its absolute best. Hope you Enjoy.

That 4am version tho 😍
Wish Paper Moon was in the set.
@ptplario thank you!!!
@@flyonthewall8290 omg I typically only write negative comments but that was most beautiful version of 4am ever it melted my heartstrings
Most underrated band
Yes I totally agree
SRK MY LIFE agreed.
So f’g true
without a doubt... no idea wtf is wrong with the one person who voted this down...
they're like the most popular band in canada so idk what you're talking about, they're still going strong and have a huge following
They’ve been my favourite band since I first heard them in 1995… almost 30 years of amazing music, countless concerts, and Canadian pride!!
And how is Naveed STILL the BEST SONG EVER?? Goosebumps after all these years. Nothing but love ❤
Raine is gorgeous as he was 20 years ago. Damn!!
First album I ever bought. Clumsy. My favorite album. Spiritual machines.
Healthy in paranoid times was the first album I ever purchased. Still my favorite.
Favorite album: Happiness is not a fish.... I just think its a fricking masterpiece of interesting song-writing, vocals, ridiculously cool guitar and drumming that is bar-none. One of my fondest memories is my girlfriend and I laying in bed listening to that album from start to finish and both loving every second. Cool fact, she was the Acapella director for Penn State when attending.
Every song on Clumsy is a masterpiece
this album defined my young teenage years. Can't praise it enough.
First album I ever bought: clumsy. Fav of all time: happiness...
This BAND is a motherloving MASTERPIECE! I can't believe they're still going, I grew up on these guys and they got me through SO MUCH. I've had to re-purchase both of the aforementioned cds over the years because I would play the shit out of them till every song was a skipping nightmare lol
I only did that with a few artists/albums, but OLP was my greatest escape. Goddamn, if they aren't absolutely timeless, I don't know what is.
Im crying watching and hearing this right now! My god, what I wouldn't give for the chance to see them live! Maybe it's not too late? That's just straight up mind blowing. I hope they never stop ... This is the kind of music the world needs!! I am so grateful to these guys for all the gifts they have shared with all of us over the years; I quite literally owe them my life. Nothing but love for Our Lady Peace 🖤✊💜✌️🤍
This version of 4AM gave me chills.
Ditto! ♡
How is he still so damn hot?!!
I’ve had this on repeat for over 24 hours now... it’s basically keeping me alive
Right on
So glad they are still bringing the music to us.
48:08 it hit him when the crowd started singing. Man nothing can ever replace that feeling
The best song.
Love this band, helped me through so much physical and emotional pain.
I see a lot of people trashing Raine Maida’s voice on here. I think what people have to realize is how difficult it probably was to sing the way he did for years, and the strain that probably put on his vocal chords. I appreciate that the band is trying to adapt and adjust to what he can or can’t do Live at this point. I’m not a huge fan of their last two albums, but hopefully whatever Spiritual Machines II ends up being, is something special.
I do wonder what would happen if he took time off for like 6-12 months and sang nothing but opera with a coach. I’d be curious to see if he’d get stamina back
With proper technique his old way of singing was not difficult at all, nor was it physically demanding.
I'm guessing he did not use proper technique for years, which was common at the time they got popular. He probably never expected OLP to get huge and go on tour for years in a row.
I love Raine Maida and OLP so much. But it feels like a full octave has been shaved off of his voice. Then again, yeah we should cut him some slack. Perhaps the whole band should tune the songs down too.
@@OneChordWonders I also think playing guit & singing at the same time doesn't help focus on hitting the exact timbre of the songs either.
@@CHAOSDEATHCULT Yeah you are right. Raine is trying his best.
That version of Naveed was bad ass! The vocal pairing took it to a whole different level!
Our lady peace is one of the best Canadian bands ever i have been fortunate to see them live five times and they are internationally known
I’ve only seen them once in London when our manager got us tickets….great band!
Man was it good to be in that crowd..... seeing one of my favourite bands of all time for the first time in my life after growing up listening to them..... what a night
Very jealous! 😃🤘
im seeing these guys next month for my first time. im 34 and been listening to them since they came out.
Is not enough dis band our lady of peace The Best band...
The only band in existence where I have loved every song on every album. Typically its one or two songs here and there with the exception of 311.
You like Never Get Over You? Apology? Dreanland? Picture? Those songs are horrible, which I say as a huge OLP fan.
mmjahink Funny enough, Picture and Apology are among my favorite OLP songs. I think Gravity was their weak album.
"Dreamland" is real nice. I'm not big on the message behind the lyrics, very unlike Raine, but still. NICE SONG IMO ^__^
same
@@oliverracz2686 I was HUGE fan up to "Spiritual Machines", but Gravity was horrible, just mainstream garbage... Fell out of love for them after that. Happy to revisit their older stuff though!
OLP is my all-time favourite band!! They are my Somethingness :)
Thanks so much for releasing this and giving us some epic OLP content while we wait to see how the world will look tomorrow.
“Head down, wait for tomorrow, dark days soon will be over....”
I'm excited to watch, thanks for sharing this with us
As an American who lives in northern Minnesota who has been with our lady peace since the beginning they represent Canada 🇨🇦 well. Good to see them going strong. Well until the pandemic. Great work guys.
Its amazing they played at the first concert I ever went to 24 years ago they opened for staind and since then OLP remains my favorite band, keep it up for at least another 24 years.
His voice is just soothing.
LMAO not anymore!
Thank you so much for putting this out there, your music saved my life when I was a teenage. Words cannot describe the impact your music has had on my life. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
Awesome version of 4am. And the two ladies at 52:25 and 56:04 are absolutely stunning.
OLP still bringing it home for us. Raine is a visionary talent can’t wait to see them live again
1 month 6 days til i see them! im excited
Saw them last Friday. Still amazing!
I missed the tour, sooooo glad to see this post!!!
I'm (at least technically as the modern world is concerned) American and they make me have Canadian pride!
My first concert experience was Summersault 2000. It was a friggen blast. 20 years later I can’t wait to see you guys when concerts open up again, I’ve been to 10 now to see you guys live and I can’t wait to come to your next show!
Mine too! Edmonton SS.
Saskatoon!
The world needed this...thank you!
One of the greatest bands in our generation🤘 And Raine somehow pulls off being flat and still sounding great with his style, he always has 🤷♂️
I see he's really refined his singing technique over the years. It may not sound as good as his old way of singing, but this way he won't be left without a voice within a few years. Good for him.
It actually makes me really sad... he doesn't even try to do anything after the second chorus on Superman's Dead, and you can tell it's because he literally just can't do that "Subway" line anymore. His voice is much more limited and baritone now.
With proper vocal coaching, his old technique was not damaging at all. And in fact his actual range is only like 3-4 octaves IIRC. Just the way he used it made it really effective and impressive.
I'm guessing they did a ton of touring and Raine never really learned how to do his vocals on a rigourous tour and eventually wrecked his voice. Now he's stuck with a much more limited technique. I'm sure it kills him that he can't do it more than it does any fan though. It's like an athlete who's body can't perform like it used to.
I'm glad I got to see them in the late 90s when they were still killing it.
@@vincentjohnson7175 you have 3 videos and they are of you playing halo...in 2022 :/
Thee coolest Premier I ever attended with the coolest band, fans & online chatters I've ever witnessed! Much Love. Enjoy this people, it's a gem! ❤🙋♀️
Thank you thank you thank you OLP! Canada ❤️’s you! One of my favourite bands to see when they tour, will never not go! Stay safe, wash your hands!
This show was unreal! I had the privilege to watch from side stage in Toronto and it is something I will never forget. So awesome to be able to rewatch now!
How on earth did you get side stage?!
@@kari4077 you buy the VIP meet and great package
been listening to you since 1998! you saved my life
Hang in there
I was there.
It was my first ever concert.
It was amazing.Madam Rouge did amazing. Live was absolutely fantastic. Bush was incredible, genuinely awesome... and OLP, they just blew the stage away. The combined voices of everyone. Every single person knowing every single lyric. It was unlike anything I'd ever seen in my life. I was overjoyed to see my favourite band and undeniably lucky to have seen the others.
THIS was your first show ever? Dude, you are one lucky human being. I envy you!
Love this band! They ROCK!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this today! I've been self-isolated for 32 days now, alone, and it's given me something to look forward to all week! I was 3rd row for both the Moncton and Montreal shows. Peace and love
Feel ya bud
God speed on your quarantine! ♡
This is mixed incredibly well and Raine’s vocals are on point. Simply fantastic.
LOVED EVERY MINUTE - I was right up front for this show! I'd do it again in a heartbeat! xo Weather was perfect, clear night and warm temps and fantastic bands!
I remember buying Naveed and showing it to my band mates and my best friend who was in an other band, and the reaction I got from him when he recognized, Raine, as the guy who had the same vocal coach in North York as him. I don’t recall her name anymore but it was a cool connection. Listening to an album for the first time with solid people, putting pieces together musically & interpreting lyrics. Fond memories indeed.
Royans vocal school.
That is so weird, I had a similar experience. Can't even remember who the guy was, but he was positive he'd had the same coach as Raine Maida.
He had a vocal coach?? I wouldn't have been able to tell
first song and you see the power that olp has, everyone is silent and enjoying it to the fullest 10 seconds in
This show was ALL kindsa awesomesauce!
Watching old wwe brought me back to the goat
There's nothing left to prove, nothing I won't do..
They were an awesome band back in in the late 90s early 2000
A work of art. I had given up hope on the magic of live rock acts from the past being replicated in the present but this one seemed almost seemed BETTER today, bursting with some kind of ethereal sobriety, harmony, warmth. Raine and OLP's lyrics age like fine wine. Sad I missed out on this experience but can't wait for a post-rona OLP performance!
I love you OLP
It's time for a new album! Then a headline tour!
they all looked so goddamn happy. it's beautiful. it's profound.
Saw you guys Play 4x times in Florida. Twice in a club like setting, then when you opened for Third Eye Blind and you blew them away. Everyone was buy OLP shirts and their stand was empty. Then at Coral Sky Ampitheater I had the Canadian flag You guys rocked the hell out Fan since day 1 xoxo
It's annoying to think that these guys don't have the audience they deserve, they're badass
They deserve zero at this point. They haven’t made a decent album in 20 years and some of their biggest hits from the early days haven’t aged well
Been around for awhile and still amazing, and to see this and them being 100% them no fake shhh... props on your hard work
This bands in their 40s. Great shape.
This concert is great! Love the new doo! How could even 19 people not like this? It is professionally recorded. It sounds awesome and the visuals are reaĺly bad ass. What's not to like? I love this band.
Cant wait. Love ya olp
Was at this concert. So amazing, each show I see is better than the last. Up to 17 now!
Ive seen them more than 10 times myself. They're my fav band!
This show is a CLASSIC! Damn I wish I was at this one.
More of this, please. Just awesome!
Simply awesome !
Reliving my somersault experience ❤
Raine. I hope your next album sounds like a combination of the first 5 albums, all kind of fused into one. Thanks bud!
Wow! Amazing as always. Saw them in LA 3 years ago. One of the best shows! Love Raine.
These guys are awesome.
Words cannot describe how grateful I am that this exists
I love this band.
I just 👍 all your comments as of 17.04.2020 8:35 am mt but I can't like future post, whatever. I love OLP and the fans. Thanks for sharing 😃
When you guys came to Montreal, i couldn't go :( Hope to see you guys back here soon! ♥
Love these guys
Can't wait!
Been on my to see list for 20 years. Them getting back together at least give me hope to see them sometime. Effing hell I would have lost it at this show, looks amazeballs.
They were incredible live 20 years ago. I hope you get to see them!
This is awesome. Thank you!
TY TY TY TY!!!!!
I love you Our lady oeace!!
OMG I love Raine's voice and always have. Of course he not 27 years old anymore either - the singing voice changes over time. Every singer goes through that. He looks amazing, has kept himself 'hot' UNLIKE the majority of 90's bands and still has it all. It's my opinion that if you weren't around in the 90's and don't know Our Lady Peace, then you're not going to like his music. They know who their fans are.
Very true
Verdaderamente alucinante!
Still one of the most underrated bands.
world class live performance
Bush was also really good, I had a blast! Thank you guys for the amazing performance, and I’m so glad you performed Ballad of a Poet!
Man, that was an awesome show...
RIP OLP.
AWESOME omg i love it .Thx for this vidéo :)
Awesome guys!! Head to toe goosebumps at the beginning.. felt like I was at a live show!! I can’t fucken wait to see you guys live again!! Hopefully sooner than later. ❤️🤟
Merci pour ce show
Amazing
amazing performance! sounds even better now!
Como acho que nunca vou ver esses caras no Brasil, o jeito é me contentar com esse show ao vivo e o DVD de quase duas décadas atrás que tenho na minha coleção.
thank you !!!!
Weak in my knees on 1 Man Army. I WILL SEE THEM THIS TIME!
