Lexi, this palette is magical! I was fascinated by it all. I’m a minimalist with eye makeup (mostly due to allergies), and I’m usually searching for my favorite taupe. Thanks Lexi- a thorough review as always! I find this palette to be the most exciting I’ve purchased in a long time. I’ve been layering the topper shades over other colors and I love the effects but you’ve given me the courage to layer over the black. I’m now tempted to try the brow gel and mascara.
I have to admit her products are very impressive. I'm even tempted to try the glow serum just to see if there is anything special and unique about it.

I hope you enjoy it Nessa! I think the two best Byredo palettes are the Metal Boots in the Snow and Dysco. Some of the others have some inconsistencies in formula but these two are practically perfect imo!

@@LexiJong Thanks, bought and played with the palate all weekend. Love the colours, packaging and base/topper process. However, lots of fallout and glitter on my cheeks (even doing eyes first with primer) but used UD All Nighter (my only fix-spray atm) very lightly. Didn't need to put any product on the lower lash-line or inner-corner, it ends up there anyway 😀 (my eyes are double-hooded, although narrow and slanted, so it is a common issue for me). Happily, I think 'lived-in' is part of this collection's aesthetic so it works. Used the iridescent topper very lightly as a cheek highlighter too over a Pat McGrath (called Champagne Gold - but it's dusty pink). Power to you!!!!

I have the palette and I love that black cream shadow! It makes for a easy smokey look or deepening shade. I have Byredo's Prismatic eye shadow palette and it's one of my favorites. Good to know about the brushes! Great review!

I always feel like you are talking to me because of how detailed your answers are to a lot of the questions I have haha! And I'm delighted to hear that the sculpture can be easily removed from the palette w/o damaging the cover I hope? I'd rather have more ease storing it, etc too. I think the box is lovely and would be fun as a keepsake. This is one of those releases where it's the most fun to try all or most of the products. I used to (or may still have) a black Chanel gloss that's more sheer, but it's a thicker formula from what I remember. This whole collection screams Fall to me and I love it! I definitely can't wait to see what other collections she comes out with, especially for the Winter. I agree with you that Fall/Winter are my favorite makeup releases and looks.

Great review! This seems like such an interesting collection, the eyeshadow palette looks so beautiful, but unfortunately, I know that it's the type of product I would barely use. Isamaya Ffrench is definitely very talented & creative and I can't wait to see what else she releases, I was surprised that she left Byredo but I love Lucia Pica and I'm sure she'll also do amazing things there. It's pricey but the textures are unique imo. If you are interested in everything, the set price gives you a discount but it is still priced in the luxury range.

Byredo is beautiful indeed, one of my most loved purchases of this year was/is their Kalahari palette!!! But that was easy, just ordering (from The Netherlands) in France, simple. The mascara shape seems like a sum of the variations of mascaras made by flowfushi/UZU, or other companies in Japan and Korea. I wonder if it's the formula or the shape that gives curling effect.
I feel like it is the formula, seems a bit “stickier”

I wish it didn’t have 2 blacks but I really like what I’ve tried so far of the eyeshadow formulas. Better than Byredo by far, I think.
I think her formula is better than Byredo too (aside from Metal Boots and Dysco which are awesome but different).

Love the collection, but I have to say, that raised image on top of the palette makes me hesitant, if not more, to skip it altogether
You can pull it off if you want. It is just a few dabs of glue holding it onto a plain black palette. I just removed mine.

I don’t really think so but Midnight sun is one of my favorites.

I just don’t understand the crazy price.
It is a smaller company and with several different tires of finishes, I am sure it is more expensive to produce than the average palette but it is definitely in the luxury price range regardless.
That image is disturbing, not artsy or creative--looks to me like transhumanism.
Apparently you can remove the plastic piece on top of the palette. I'm trying to get mine off but I haven't been able to yet; however, a subscriber popped hers off with no problem.
