@@vermilliongecko means next to nothing these days. She’s extremely un funny and safe, and is therefore used for nonsense tv panel shows. Her being a professional is a poor argument too, there’s countless “professional” musicians who’ve had one hit song but have a catalogue of awful work too.
Countless examples of comedians who are/were always on tv but aren’t funny too. Michael Macintyre, Miranda Hart, Mel and Sue whatever their names are.
