And never accepted all the crap rides then those customers would 1) complain and 2) not use the app cause they could never get rides … it would force Uber to put out fare rates that drivers would accept and thus the paying customers would get rides… if people like you just accept everything that’s sent to them . Mine is anywhere from 4%-16%
Only do rides that are profitable. Do get desperate and accept anything or you'll be working for free.
If you doing UberX try to do minimum $1/mile or $30 per hour. If you work in a dense area with a lot of traffic, then pay attention to how many total minutes is the trip and divided by 2. That way you average a minimum of $30/hr.
Example: 6 minutes/2 miles to pickup and 12 minutes/6 miles to dropoff. Minimum is $9 but preferably $10.
Also when there's a surge, sometimes Uber does a fake surge. They offer $12 surge and offer you $16 for 12 miles. That mean they're only paying $4 for 12 miles, that's like .30 cents a mile. Always decline that. It should be paying you around .85 cent a mile PLUS the surge.
Try not to do multiple stops. And after you accept a ride and get a message "customer updated trip" "rider updated pick up location" CANCEL the ride asap. If they do this after getting in your car and don't want to go to the updated area you have the right to cancel or tell them this is your last ride and you only accepted because is taking you near your house.
When they want to go get food or gas station tell them to add the stop in the app or they can tip you ASAP on Cashapp, Venmo, cash etc. Don't get played, get payed.

The more you earn, the more you lose because that’s more mileage and more wear and tear), your maintenance, your fuel, your insurance, your problems (someone messes up your Seats, accidents, break downs). Then after all those nasty asses back there, you’re going to put your family back there to take them around? Biggest scam I’ve ever seen in my life. Uber, Lyft, any of them can be run by a 15 year old kid in his garage. The company does NOTHING. The app does all the work. Someone enters the information for a ride. The app puts the call out to anyone who is logged in. The first one to answer gets the job. No dispatchers, no managers, no benefits, no pension. Joke!

Martin Basha- Your not wrong. I believe it’s one of the very reasons Uber should be sued actually… say a customer puts in a ride for 10 miles and it gives you $7 . Well if there is a red zone with a $6 per ride bonus … naturally that $7 for 10 mile ride should be $13 now for the 10 miles with bonus … BUT ITS NOT… it will be almost the same as the bonus maybe a little more . Say like $9 for 10 miles … they don’t add the bonus naturally like the should .. you have a certain fare fee. Now if there is a new bonus it simply should be added to the fare and that’s that. But nope , they drastically reduce the original fee of the fare and throw your bonus in there + the couple little dollars the old fare went to… so it literally is like you didn’t even get a bonus at all but maybe a couple bucks… that’s Freaking illegal… it’s false advertising! You can put bonuses up and simply change the original fare to accompany the bonus just cause that’s means you will get more … AND WHAT DO YOU THINK THE CUSTOMER IS PAYING… they 100% aren’t getting the reduction in the original fare … they ended up paying the whole thing so Uber can collect twice as much and pay you even less… that’s the way UBER screws it’s drivers … that customer probably paid anywhere from $14-$20 for the original fare in which you got $7 and after the bonus kicked in they collected probably $19-$27 and you get $8-$9 …
