    This guy is spot on. I started driving 9 years ago in the SF Bay Area during the golden era. Making 300 - 500 a day was pretty much a lock back then. Long ride were calculated based on time and distance, not set prior to the ride ends. This could mean huge fares on rides. You can still make money but you have to be smart. Its never worth it to do airport runs or long rides. I only do long rides if I need to go that direction. Lyft is so fuckin cheap I treat them like a destination filter. And Uber Eats is a fuckin joke. If you're acceptance rate is about 15% you're doing things wrong

    Damn yeah your market is definitely different than Atlanta. Our rates are far lower. And we never see good surges anymore. And even when they do offer a decent surge UBER started cheating us and having lower base fares so the surge really isnt even a real amount. It just brings you back up to what should have been the base pay.

      You're right. I'm in the UK and the pay is abysmal. £1 per one mile. Sometimes they want you to travel 3 miles for £3 used to make £5 minimum per trip a couple years back when I was just riding a bicycle. It's gone to the dogs. People need to stop driving for them. We literally power that company..if we leave they die.

By the tone of your accents, you’re an viet immigrant too dawg…… Even all the ones that are born here, they has got their own culture. Blame it on personal issues like ignorance and how people were raised in their environment, not where they came from now. Sheeeshh this guy.

      They do that in Houston too. Supposedly it’s a way to get drivers to that area so there is short wait time for the customer that will need a ride in a the next few minutes. Once there is enough drivers there they take the surge off and then offer you trips. Happens to me time after time.

    This guy is not spot on all he is doing is showing you how to lose your pro status with Uber and make it so that you don't get your benefits. Do not listen to this guy. He is scamming to benefit himself.

    • @yabadabadoobie7045
      @yabadabadoobie7045 Před 7 měsíci

      @Marvin.45 He is getting everybody to lose their pro status. Which means you get lower quality runs, leaving all the good runs to people who don't sit there and skip everything. But by all means follow his lead. That just means better and more runs for me when you lose your pro status. I guess he's benefiting me too if you follow what he does

    I don’t believe this guy at all. Explain to me how you keep your account active with all of the cancellation rates. Dude you are off the chain canceling rides. I don’t believe your tactics unless you can prove and explain to all of us how your account is being protected from declining and canceling all these rides. All this guy is doing is showing drivers how to get their accounts deactivated.

    • @alexandravorbe431
      @alexandravorbe431 Před 7 měsíci +2

      I don't know why they would cancel you, I decline rides all the time. Miami, Florida here and my account is still active. We are independent contractors and are not obligated to accept all rides. We are free to choose. It's illegal for them to punish us for making smart business decisions. I would research your rights in your town with an attorney if that's your case.
