Seeing as this mech is an original design, I don’t understand why they didn’t design it to be functional and pose-able, then add detail and armour that doesn’t disrupt the functionality. When I design mech MOCs, I make sure that the functionality and design are balanced.
10:07 It seems like the exposed studs or the red technic pins on the upper thigh can be used as a method of store the weapon on the other two technic holes on the weapon, albeit seeming to be being an unorthodox and highly cursed method of doing so.
The combine feature is cool but i think i prefer them as sperate mechs, so I'll probably end up modifying Lyods mech to have a nicer looking front torso, which shouldn't be to difficult, also i think the random red technic piece on the leg is to maybe be able to hold the sword, similar to how jays mech was able to holster his swords
I’m glad this mech decided to stick around as an Administration vehicle for season 2. The whole action sequence of Cole fighting three of these was awesome
With how the Jays dragon is basically an evo set and this small mech is similar to the small evo mechs I wonder if they ended core just to merge it with the main line
In my opinion I think this set is just trying to recreate the magic that Jay's Titan Mech brought to the table. The overall building techniques and angels and what not make me think that they couldn't decide between Jay's Titan Mech or the oni titan.
Question:Can the Lloyd sword (the golden sword with the green spot although the Lego version doesn’t have that green spot) fit in the new hood sword holder place? It would be cool if it could, as it was super annoying when you couldn’t fit the sword into the sword holder during the crystallized wave. So, can it?

In my opinion I think the mech despite being very interesting feels very messy with those random exposed bits. I think I'll end up picking it up tho just cos obviously the unique design, its technically a 2-in-1 with Erin's mech and also so I can attempt to tidy it up with my own bits to make it look even better.
Love Lloyds Sensei Mech, (hope that's it's official name lol) the Dark Green mixed with the Gold mames a SOLID colour scheme they need to do more sets in the darker accent colours of the ninja as they look just as good. The sandals/Geta and staff look great. The Cyclops style eye also adds to the interesting and unique look might have to get this on sale/discount. I hate Arins mech should have been a separate set and would have lowered the price. They also could have marketed it as a "combine these two set to create the Lloyd and Arins ninja team mech."
Knees are great but no ankles is a step backwards. Still knees are way more dynamic than feet. I think the mech in a mech thing is redundant but I won't complain about two good looking mechs. Not a fan of the head but that's easy to mod
I can get Don Onitaijin and the Ultra Combo mech having similar features being a coincidence. BUT THIS AND TORADORA GONJIN HAVING SIMILAR FEATURES DOES NOT FEEL LIKE A COINCIDENCE AT ALL.
I think the combo team mech had a lot of GaoGaiGar inspiration, so I can see that in the mech. Though I have to wonder if Donbrothers was considered in the design phase of the set
When I first saw this Mech I thought it was pretty meh, but actually seeing this review and all of the function it has, I got to say it's changed my mind.
I feel like this mechs style and gimmic dont work togetter. The steampunky asthetic should been its own mech, and maybe more gernetic mech with the kangaroo pouch combination gimmic would have worked way better
Could you do nya's and arin's baby dragon battle I wanna see your opinion on it because it is the cheapest way to get nya arin and baby riyu and I want to see if it fits in a normal collation.
Honestly the only reason I got this set is because it would of been the only one from this wave I wouldn't have (I also liked it in the show). Other than that I would of skipped this.
At first I wasn’t the biggest fan of this set but I will say I like it a little bit more now but I’ll still wouldn’t get it just because I like the other sets more from this wave

Yea no...robots are not worth it in my opinion, they are too big and ugly. The only ones I like is zane's titanium mech and the samurai x mech from s16. Although, they don't deserve my money. I will be trying to collect all ninjas from this wave and I will be trying to get the small sets.

My favorite part of this set is that Lloyd's mech carries Arin's mech like a baby in a carrier XD

This set reminds me of the Lego nexo knights 72004 with the double mech

I'd guess not, since it just looks like a 1x1 adaptation of the ZX sword holder and those cant fit it either, 100% a missed opportunity though

No you cant, its a katana holder and that sword has a too tall blade too fit it
