@jkaquastudio Hi Karthik, there were multiple options to fix this green water issue, First thing was to reduce your lighting or keep the tank dark for few days. Your light input is way too much for the plants you have in this tank. Second, you could have introduced some nerite snails and third, you can always opt for a canister with UV lamp

Bro i have a doubt. Jurjis has specifically told you to add corona snails. But you haven’t mentioned or tired it. As far as i can understand from my experience it is very easy to control the green dust algae and keep it under control using corona snails ot else try pink lady snails (will not grow big or breed). I hope it helps you.
Also you can add bristle nose and star light it will also help you.
Corona snails… I have tried in Indian market and unable to find it… If I tried then i would have mentioned it in my video
nitrile snails works best they cant reproduce in fresh water and cleans perfectly I have never touched my glass for cleaning. And I have noticed they sleep in daytime and do all the work at night.
Nice explanation ! but why you added separate Skimmer ? cant we use Cannister filter to do that function by adding a lily pipe with skimmer ? and also what is the FAN you are using
I am not a big fan of lily pipe with skimmer setup... So I don't buy these kind of lily pipe model. So always prefers separate skimmer

if you consider fish as a pet just add nitrile snails in the tank and some floating plants or even house plants ...no algae will pop up, if you see the aquarium more as a decoration keep burning your money and time.
