short and concise! love it
Thank you!
Hello I have a question you said before treatment you need to stabilize the patient the thing that I did not understand in your previous video you said WBC count over 100.000 has a poor prognosis then why granulocytopenia is a risk factor before the treatment?
thanks for making this topic simply
My pleasure!
It's very useful thank you so much ! :)
Iâm a little bit confused⊠so letâs say someone is in a complete remission for 2 years today. Are chemoteraphy cycles included in maintenance after CR? or does the maintenance start after all the chemotherapy cycles are finished and patient starts to be on pill chemotherapy?
I just donât understand if the 2 years maintenance starts after chemotherapy cycles or after someone is considered to be in CR.
Awesome content , continue hero đ
What a mindblowingly awesome tutorial! I understood everything literally.
Thank you so much đ
What an Amazing Doctor he is! I like him so much.
so i still dont understand why the WBCs count is high ? is it bcz bone marrow is hyperplastic so it produces more cells ? am i ri8?
I appreciate your effort !
It's my pleasure!

thank you very much , i have a question please , i have to present a study about mercaptopurine as maintenance therapy for ALL , but I still dont understand what does mercaptopurine do to prevent relapse ?? it is an immunosuppressent , so why it is used for the treatment of ALL ??
Mercaptopurine is a purine synthesis inhibitor -> inhibits DNA synthesis -> inhibits DNA replication -> inhibits cell division.
You are simply great đ
Thank you đ

Iâm one year into maintenance & one year left to go. Does this type of cancer always come back? Have many people even beating it do you know? Great video BTW đđ
I'm at the final of treatment,i have only 3 days and i finish it. No,he don t come back everytime, only in 35% of causes, that depend of your type or others factors
But i know persons who win the battle with ALL and the cancer never come back
Iâve just began my chemo for t-All and So far Iâve not had extreme side effects, just wondering which part you found hardest and which was the harshest part for you ? Also did you lose your eyebrows and eyelashes ?
@@user-on9kt7np6g Thatâs good your not having bad side effects. For me it took my hair almost 3 months to completely fall out & I lost my eyebrows but not the lashes
@@user-on9kt7np6gFor me the worst of it is the Myopathy in my thighs making it hard to walk, the harsh reaction to the medication has been worse than the symptoms itselfâŠ

I have just began my chemo treatment for t-all and wondered which part of the treatment is the harshest and when to expect the most worst side effects ?
I know this is a very late reply but for me personally, the harshest was induction & consolidation & the prophylaxis of CNS during Maintenance . Of course every case is different depending on the subtype of ALL, what treatment protocol you're on & if any complications occur. Don't know if you're in the consolidation phase now but hope you are doing well
Hi how are you now???? I diagnosis t-all and now just the treatment begun, how are you now???
@@naomiasg8100 I'm just got done with induction!
@@DelineatedMercy How did it go? Hope you are doing well. One tiny but big step closer to the finish line!
I just started my consolidation. Induction was the hardest for me. However, letâs see in the coming days. My doctor said that Day 34 would be the day that patients would usually get so weak.
Such a hero

This case study says she is 76yr old. I'm wondering why it's ALL and not CLL.
Thank you.
Hey, I think it's because it's blasts >20% in bone marrow... Watch the previous acute leukemia video, you'll get it.
I thought they use rasbicurase rather than allopurinol for tumor lysis syndrome, based on up to date.
Both are used!

Thanks đ
I am honored!
How is his health?
1:54 sorry i might not be understanding this correctly...if chemo CAN NOT penetrate CNS or testes, why do we still need to give prophylaxis??? Its not going to these regions anyways@@....
They give chemo directly into the CNS by giving it intrathecally when they do the lumbar puncture to see if there are any cancerous cells there at the same time. And testes are generally irradiated rather than treated with chemo I believe.
@@lexd say whhhhhhaaa??đ±đ± chemo directly into the CNSđČđČđČ??!!!...i wonder what prophylaxis they gave prior to injecting the chemo...like MOA etc...damn~â_â
@@liuoyt9857 the usual systemic IV/oral chemo cannot penetrate CNS, but unfortunately the CNS is a very common area for the ALL to relapse into. Because of that, it's really important to put lots of prophylactic chemo directly there. Most commonly they use methotrexate which is a dihydrofolate reductase inhibitor.
how do ALL patients receive chemotherapy ??
What do you mean?
Are you asking about the route of administration?
