Today I'm showing you my Monstera Dubia propagation and how I'm attaching this babe to a plank! This will help it shingle and attach to the wood. I recommend Cedar wood for this, but we use what we have okay?! haha 😆

One way to save the wood from rotting a little is to put it between the catch pot and the nursery pot. However, you'll need a little longer piece of wood🪵 🌱
I was thinking even just using a plastic bag under the soil maybe? Or just using Cedar from now on lol

Off topic- but been meaning to ask you, for the Dela Tanks soil mix- have you tried using that for your Sansevieria yet? I'm just curious how that would work for those type of plants... That soil works great for all my plants!!!! It doesn't hold onto moisture for long, but it doesn't dry out too fast either ☺

Only just got around to this video. My only shingling plant is a rhaphidophora cryptantha. I love the marking on its leaves but it didn’t love me in return because it didn’t grow for at least 4 months. Silly me chose one with bigger leaves in a hurry without checking the plant first - it had been used as a mother plant I guess as the stem top had been snipped off. It was planted in really horrid soil & I switched it to lechuza pon to weigh the pot down & also because fungus gnats don”t love pon. I probably kept it too wet in the large pot (some root rot😬), repotted it into a smaller pot & finally gave up & chucked it into some water… then I decided to put it in a diluted fertilizer solution - and it started pushing out 3 new skinny stems this week!! Seems new stems always have tiny leaves - keeping my fingers🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻The leaves are teeny tiny & don’t laugh… I have the plant anchored to a smooth surface corrugated plastic board as that won’t rot. People in Singapore aren’t big on carpentry so it’s really tough to get planks. The only planks I can find around here are at the craft store & the Japanese $2 dollar store but these are all balsa wood which isn’t water resistant. The Jap store sells 3 cm wide, metre tall cedar wood poles but they are too narrow & way too heavy😦
