This is all like a foreign language to me. As a complete beginner, I look forward to getting to the point where I can read these comments and understand what they mean. I am left-handed, which made it difficult to learn things as basic as tying my shoes when I was a kid. I did try to crochet when I was 17, but the person who taught me was right-handed, and I struggled. I still have the blanket I was trying to make. I wasn't told to count my stitches, so it ended up totally uneven. I absolutely love all these left-handed videos.
Great video! 👍🏼 I don’t knit so I’m pleased to get these useful tips for making the knitted items look more professionally finished. I don’t understand the negative comments as I don’t think you talked too much at all. Thanks!
I love the beginning edge finish hint.! I would really love to see you use this technique to add yarn mid-row or change yarn to a line of stitches as I really need to see it to completely understand. Thank you!
I have just discovered you and loopy yarn. Love your stuff. And I also wanted to say thank you for referencing that you are in the States - so many YTers assume all their watchers are also in the US, and for those of us who are not (I am in Australia), we feel a bit left out!! I am starting your chevron blanket in a variegated yarn next week on holidays!
So I tried something slightly different and started the same way I would normally end. I then flipped the yarn so the chain look stitch was facing down and started my pattern with pulling loops through the back side of the chain loop. I continued with my pattern and the very first row looks just like the end row. You might have to play with it first to get the hang of doing it this way but I like that the beginning looks the same as the end!
The best way to get a chain at the bottom is to start with a chain as you would with normal knitting and flip the chain over and start knitting through the bumps in the back of the chain. Hope that helps.
I am on blanket #7. I just found this video, love the first row edge finish, and of course I am halfway done with a 100 loop wide giant blanket. Any suggestions so I don't have to peel back the enire blanket and still add the edge?
Hi….please, if you could, tell me how to add width to my loop yarn blanket. I have about three feet done, and realized it is not wide enough. I don’t want to start over. I started with 72 loops at my base. I thought that would be enough for the width. I’m doing the herringbone pattern. Maybe that cinched it up more then the regular stitch..I don’t know..thank you in advance, Cindy…
How do you stop your loop blanket from curling if you're only using a knit stitch? Do you need to start and stop each row with a purl stitch? And how do you switch from one to another properly?
I’m making a blanket and saw I missed a loop at the left edge (went from 19 loops to 18). I’ve knitted about 2 ft from the missed loop 🤦🏻♀️ is there a quick fix? I’d love a video on how to fix various mistakes. Please help!
Just started checking into this. Looked like be nice at night when watching tv or visiting sisinlaws as they crochet. Do anhh brands come in cotton? If so be nice for putting hit dishes on. Can't with poly.
Is there a way to fix a flaw in the yarn where a loop is like missing or got pulled out or something? Like it's just straight and extra long between two loops. I am already most of the way through the skein and it sounds like I can't return it since I've worked it and also I don't want to have to start all over bc I've already had to a number of times. Any advice would be greatly appreciated bc I've had this happen several different time so I've got at least 3 projects where I'm stuck and can't move forward.
I have just started with the loop yarns and I'm on a blanket that asks you to skip loops. In regular crochet or knit, I know how, but I'm confused in the instructions to know how to do this. Can you explain.
You wouldn’t work the loop, just ignore it and go to the next one. But it depends on the overall pattern since the needle pattern might rely a bit in the ladder yarn between the stitches to create an effect by the row after.
yet ANOTHER criss cross tutorial that does not show increasing and or decreasing criss cross stitch. Cant be a ‘pro’ without that! Can ANYone help or direct me pLEASE?
@@daphnedevine this was for specific hacks of finishing techniques to use on this yarn. It is not stitch specific. A specific stitch is not in the title. I understand making a request for a video in which case that is noted. Thank you for watching.
Then I’m not the instructor for you. I teach the reason behind things so you can learn and grow. It’s not just for a quick one time thing. Have a nice day.
I started watching this video to learn how to knit with loop yarn. I’m 9 mins in and still haven’t seen a stitch. Leave your Hi’s to everyone for your personal time not your tutorial video
Jeannette Loretta again this is a REPLAY of a live established weekly Facebook broadcast and not a standard tutorial. I do have whole videos teaching how to use this yarn showing hands only. I also have a playlist of this yarn. The video was put on CZcams as a courtesy to those who asked. Thank you.

Lola Mulero Thank you so much ❤️
This is wonderful, thanks for sharing, hugs!!!❤
My 9 year old granddaughter made one with very little instruction from and finished it up on her own!! She used two packages
Paula Harris thats great! ❤️❤️
I was just thinking today when I was making my first blanket how much better it would look if it was the same on both ends! Thanks !
I love your projects.
Thank you so much! 😍💕

Exactly.. I was thinking why don't you just cast on a chain first....
Thank you for the helpful video! I love the loop it yarn!
Brava! Great video!
How do you keep the loop yarn in all knit stitches from curling? Great teacher, great videos. Thank you.
Hi from Puerto Rico! Love your videos!!

Can you add the link for the video where you are using the cabling stitch.
Thank you!
Where can I find wool loop yarn?

I am getting there
You should do a hat with this yarn
Hi from the U.K
Is there a way to fix a flaw in the yarn where a loop is like missing or got pulled out or something? Like it's just straight and extra long between two loops. I’ve cut that one loop out and put the next loop in with my previous stitch to add the ball back in.
Want to make a sweater!
looks like that design would make a pretty afghan

Do you have one of a blanket, with the loop yarn?
Like your Kathleen Turner voice!!!! But like your true healthy voice !!!! Feel better soon
Vaun Dinger 😂 that’s awesome! Aww thank you ❤️

This is not a criss cross tutorial. I do have videos on increasing and decreasing in this yarn but not that stitch.
@@GoodKnitKisses I realize that, but it certainly should be - considering how you titled the video

To repetitive when talking. Get on with the tutorial.

Hey stop talking so much. That will help your voice! Love your videos!
Too much time spent talking before you even start the instructions. Why the roll call? Talked an awful lot with a sore throat.
Still talking. So I'm outta here. Finding another instructional.
