That little hermit crab robot camera was so cool! It’s so amazing to watch how organized and cooperative they all were with each other, and it seems like everyone left content. Great footage, super interesting!

I have a hermit crab as a pet. They had HUGE crabs. I picked mine bc he didn’t have a crusher claw to protect himself. He is now regenerating a new one.
The hermit crab felt something off about the Cam shell caught a bad feeling like this ain’t homemade like the rest lol

I like watching my hermies do this. There is ALWAYS some drama with one crab wanting the shell of another. Gets rather violent occasionally with limbs being pulled off to get to the shell.
Why not buy more shells for your pets? I have my hermit, he’s 3 years old now… his name is Krabby, I buy him, a pack of 6 different 🐚 twice a year. He always busy checking them, constantly change shells every another week. I guess her it crabs have their taste of fashion seasons like us, humans.
@@RestoAyetah It's not that simple. The new shells they receive must be the perfect size and condition.

Amazing how well hermit crabs behave in their own world much better than us, human race… we should follow their example to make it better world for our future generations.
It's not all "sunshine & lollipops." A lot of the times, they fight over the shells. Some fights can be quite vicious, leading to amputation & in many cases, like the 1 seen here, they even get their homes "burgled" right off their back, by another 'jealous' Hermit Crab. I suppose they're not so different to us after all.

You know what I really like about wild nature? There are no permanent wars in that world, there are no hates and tortures. It's only about prey and predator, it's only about game that always ends... Sometimes I feel our big and superior brain is so waste of energy and only leading by our emotions rather than intellect 😔 And that day I drink a lot...

Wait so if every crab wants the next size up, what about the largest crab? Like is there a big empty shell just sitting around?
Am I the only one who was reminded of the movie “Under The Boardwalk”?
My hermit crab without shell weighs 3 gram, its old shell was also 3 gram. I bought several new shells but the lightest was 4 gram, he changed its old shell to this new 4 gram shell in just a few minutes I put it in.
My other new shells are heavy like 6gram and above. So he's stuck with this 4 gram shell until it gets bigger, or can it carry a shell double or triple its body weight ?
He definitely noticed that shell was manmade.
