Just changed canopy recently and had the chance to change the RTT setup if I wanted to, did I? Nope!! Love it just the way it is, so much more practical to use and I think easier to get in and out of. Plus I don’t have to pack up the awning or close the canopy doors if I want to get into the tent. Won’t be going back.

We have a Classic Max so a much heavier tent and we mounted ours backwards on our F150 also, step out onto a roof top platform and come down the side of the truck from a stable standing platform. Works a treat. And clears the 270 Max XT awning perfectly.

No issues at all.
It’s really secure, has got 2 over centre latches on the front, which if you were a bit worried could cable tie/padlock closed.
The build quality however is very high end, I have really got zero worries about it opening even on the worst corrugations.
