Great review. Have the Bear Komplex vest already which I really like. It is crazy to see how much smaller the new Rogue vest is. Especially because the BK vest is quite a bit smaller than the 5.11 vest. Awesome review, much appreciated.
Rogue messed up big time by not just incorporating the shoulder strap into this vest. Nobody wants to thread them on nor do they want to be uncomfortable. The vest is good, but I feel like they made a mistake bs the 5.11
It’s strange to me that you need to insert the plates upside down in the vest. Only Velcro and friction stop the plates from falling out. Also, I bought the two 20 pound plates if I want to use less weight I can put in cheaper and smaller Olympic plates.
Thanks for the review!!! I have this plate carrier since january (not the plates, which I got in april... thanks Rogue Europe 😂) and I have been waiting for a good review of it for months. The only thing I don’t understand is why my plate carrier doesn’t have those buckle and clasp. It isn’t a problem, cuz the velcro works great, but it’s weird, cuz my plate carrier was made in the USA too.
Hey Joel --- As this post is 2 years old, I wanted to ask if this your go-to plate carrier to date? I prefer a simple, clean, minimalist, (ultra) lightweight, low-profile/low vis, (c)overt with optional skeleton/skeletonized design, and it should have interior mesh air padding on both front and back panels for ventilation and comfort. Use case primarily fitness/workout, second possible tactical, so no immediate need for molle, pads and other scalable options. Ideally in a grey colour. I'm 180 cm and a size 33/34", so I would like small/medium plates. Any recommendations from you Joel, or other viewers, are appreciated that I can take into consideration. Thank you.
Thanks Joel, great review. When ordering the plates, either the old ones or new, are there 2 plates or just 1 ? If 2, does one go in front and the other in back ? Is the padding only in front ? Thanks. Have never ordered a vest before, so that's why I'm asking all these stupid questions.
Hey Joel , Thankyou for your reviews. Looks like this plate carrier is much more yet less then the tac 5:11 ✊, can you post a or add a link tho for the shoulder pads (extra) Keep up your interesting reviews.
Is it possible to put multiple plates in the vest? For example, if I wanted to buy 4 10-lb echo plates, could I put them all in? That way I could go 20lbs total or 40lbs total.
Purchased the BK and CATI plates ; great combo … that was 3 years ago. This review makes me wonder … but I still am enjoying great use of the BK. Another great review !!

Great review, man. Exactly what I was looking for.
For the straps, just so we what did in the marine corps instead of buying the pads: put a sock over the strap then wrap it with electrical tape.
Thank you for the video. Very informative and helped me decide to go ahead with Condor.
Perfect review! Actual best vest review I have watched
Excellent review. Great detail. You are the man.

Trying to decide between this one and the goruck training vest. Both are very similar and the goruck version works great with the rogue plates.

D'oh! I couldn't find that on the European website 😅 anyway the vest is amazing, I don't feel any movement on the plates
I just need a simple vest I can throw my existing round plates into. This is cool but so much money, I just wanna do weighted pushups and pullups.
Not surprised about the shipping delay... I have an order with rogue that had been picked and has been just sitting there for almost a week

They always come with a pair, one for the front and back. Padding is on both sides of the vest.
@@AMRAP Thanks, Joel.
Awesome video great review keep it up
i just saw RX+Plates has the specific plates for this vest. plus they are curved and fit perfect.

I got 2 20lb plates 😢
Are the Bear Komplex plates better? Have you tried the Goruck vest by chance?
Does the Rogue plate carrier has space for 2 plates(meaning 1 infront and 1 in the back)? Thanks!
Yes it has 2 pockets one in front and one in the back

Nah, barely fits one plate
but they sell heavier single plates
Hey buddy ! In your opinion can I put two 20lb echo plates in the vest ? Thanks
Yes.
can put two plates ? Front and rear?
Yeah you'll always put two plates into carriers. I mean you don't have to but it'll be unbalanced.
I'm glad he asked this. I didn't know either. And I thank you for your reply to his question! Cheers
My vest’s velcro keeps coming undone mid run and the plate drops out. (While still connected) how can I fix this? It’s so annoying
Send it back to rogue, that doesn’t sound right.
Trying to pick between a Rogue with the curved plates and a Bear KompleX with the Cati plates. If these were your options, which would you choose?
If you don’t mind spending more, get the rogue. If you wanted to save a little, get the BK.

I’m getting the rogue vest, would the bear komplex plates be just as good or better as the echo? Is there any difference or what do you recommend.
They’re usable but they don’t take up any space in the vest which can make them bounce. I would personally get the echo plates for the better fit.
Great thank you for your input. I’m going to do the Murph this year and I’m looking for the best vest and plates.
hello, what size vest do you recommend if I'm 5.7 tall and have a 32 inch waist? I don't know whether to choose S or M. Thank you.
Medium sounds good
@@AMRAPthank you man
What hand grips were you using to do your kipping pull ups?
Those were rxsmart gear Alec grips
Would you sell me the condor vest?
So are all three of these plate carriers specifically designed to be used as a conditioning tool for CrossFit?
Not the 5.11, that was adapted for Training. The Rogue and BK were made for training.
Basically yes. The 5.11 is a "real" plate carrier but it works much better as a fitness carrier
What color is that vest? i like it.
I can’t tell if it’s green or grey.
I’m 6 foot 155lb chest is 34. Should I get the S or M?
I wanna say small. For reference I’m 5’9” 40” chest 185lb and I wear medium comfortably.
hello it is Gilles color❤
I have a 33 inch waist do you think the medium would be too big ?
I think you'll be okay, but I would check your chest measurement instead. I'm a 40" chest and wear a M.
@@AMRAP It was delivered today ( medium) and it fits great ! Thank You
seems to fit me well at 5'11 205 33" waist
I’m 6 foot 155lb 34 chest, after reading these comments, think I’ll go with Medium and then gives room to grow into it when I’m you know Saiyan blue
