- Just felt like making a turf war animation with Bloodbath Diablos and Velkhana, not much else going on...
Could've had more refinement, but I'm happy with the result.
What other Turf Wars would y'all like to see?
(Preferably not a controversial one like Ala v Nerg or Fatty v Dala)

Behind the Turf War:
I wanted to have this turf war consider certain traits of the monsters, and respect their powers.
- Velkhana utilizes their ranged abilities to their advantage, putting Bloodbath at a disadvantage.
- Bloodbath however, is relentless, and most of her attacks only delay the inevitable as she pushed them back.
I intended to have an emphasis for when Velkhana was in the air, or used her ranged attacks, she would do well. But should Bloodbath close the distance, *and he will* , Bloodbath can annihilate Velkhana with ease. Thus why the moment Bloodbath pins her down, he just keeps attacking, and Velkhana NEEDS to use her ice breath to escape.
“Why did Velkhana win?”:
Velkhana didn’t win, she escaped.
I gave her the last hit just so it’d be consistent with other Turf Wars, and I didn’t want Bloodbath killing em.
Should this be a battle as opposed to a Turf War, Bloodbath would have another kill to his streak…

I like this logic. I'd say this is what basically happens in Velkhana's turf war with Ruiner Nergigante as well. Velkhana gets dominated and has to use an ice blast to escape. They aren't actually equals. I wonder how Ruiner would fair against Bloodbath.
Seems like a fair assessment. While I don't have much experience with either monster, I do feel like Velkhana would need to pull out all the stops to win against Bloodbath. So trying to slow them down instead feels like the right outcome.
@@plus-delta4477 i think ruiner would win easy, they are both relentless, but nergi has the extra limbs to grapple and push with, equal if not better strength, and i would assume better defense due to the near metal spikes
I imagine the steam and ice would cause a lot of fog around them.

Remember when Bloodbath reaches its zenith, all the fluids and sweat LITERALLY VAPORIZE INTO HOTSTEAM. So it is kinda weird that bloodbath should at least melt some tiny ice around it.

@@DylanKangCJ yea, he must break absolutely everything in his path! It seems to me that increasing the heat should also increase resistance to ice.
This is a great example of how some wyverns can absolutely hold their own against elder dragons

@@Artem-eu3uvI love the vibe of something like Diablos doing it though, its like an elephant you take its status as a common big animal for granted but it can probably fight off an average sized dinosaur no matter how "cool" the opponant is to humans.
Monster Hunter is at its best when the Elder Dragons aren’t practically gods. They’re still animals that have to exist in an ecosystem even if they’re generally at the top of the food chain.
Some Elder Dragons unfortunately are victims of rule of cool over being actually good additions to the franchise, sadly.
And how much better turf wars can be.
Not just hold their own but some can actually EVEN defeat some elders

Finally made it to the Guiding lands, struggling with exploration. Also, Bloodbath Diablos would be at a serious disadvantage because of its weaknesses to ice

☝️🤓 Bloodbath Diablos is ACKTSUALLY weakest to the Water element, and ice is instead now a lesser weakness, same as thunder and ice 🤓🤓🤓
...and regardless of that, Bloodbath is simply cooler in every conceivable way(pun intended), so I'm always on his side no matter what:)

The fact that only 3 monsters are in the Snake Wyvern class, and one of them wasn't even meant to be there (Remobra), which brings the total down to 2, and then that's counting Tidal Najarala, so without it is just 1 monster, base Najarala.
We got a Gore Magala = ??? class type situation here

There wasn't much weight in that Velkhana throw on the ground, aside from that it's solid

I love how Velkhana had real reason and smartly chose attacks while Bloodbath just went "horns go burr"
One slight change I'd make.....
At the end it looks like Velkhana wins because the ice wall knocks down BBD.... instead I'd have BBD charge again but instead of knocking him down, the ice wall leads to a classic case of "Uh oh, horn stuck" allowing Vel to escape
Excellent concept and execution. It’s great seeing the consideration on how candidates do battle, and the inspiration from prior animations is a good touch. Very well done

Velkhana is a pretty powerful elder, and has elemental superiority. A good match for the strongest deviant, bloodbath would definitely give most elders pause

That's an extremely tough Diablos, especially considering how strong ice is against Diablos. It is Bloodbath after all.

Some of the movement really lacks the appropriate sense of weight that's in the official turf wars. Very rad choreography, just could really use more refinement like you said in the description

Velkhana starts neutralising bazelgeuse's bombs by freezing them and gets the upper hand.
But then an external explosion causes a chain reaction, blowing up all the ice with bombs inside together with Velkhana.
If BB hadn't missed the first time...
Bloooebath needs to comeback, none of that apex shit, but the no exceptions made bloodbath.

Really wished the big herbivores (Diablos, Monoblos, Duramburos, Uragaan, Gammoth and maybe even Banbaro) were elder class monsters. There so massive in comparison to other animals in the apex level they definitely should be able to hold their own against monsters like Deviljho and Elder Dragons. Plus it would be great to reflect what we see in the natural world with many large megafauna like Elephants, Rhinos, Hippos and Large Cattle which for the most part are not preyed upon even by apex predators.

There is an overall lack of weightiness and fluidity in this animation, but you're only one person and you've already done this much.

Both legends TCS and TSC dropping bangers on the same day 🥳!! I love how Diablos brought down airborne Velky & tried to finish the job with scary horn stab 😬 And I wasn't expecting counter beams from Velky! Sweet choreography, TCS!! Great job
This is actually really nice, seeing a turf war where it ends up rather close all in all. Velkhana was definitely my expected to win, but Bloodbath really could have kept the upper hand if Velkhana wasn't able to blast ice in its face, through sheer strength alone. Wyverns are plenty tough in their own right and Elder Dragons aren't invincible (as one can see by Espinas actively winning turf wars against Kushala in Sunbreak), it's always good to see a nice show of that.
Nice, Bloodbath probably would realistically be able to hold her own against a Velk even with the massive element weakness too.
Answer to the question you asked - Plessioth vs Jyratodus (basically the original vs its replacement).
Subanswer - you ever wonder (like i do) what an Agnaktor going for a swim in water might look like? Would be rather funny to watch a Royal Ludroth or Lagiacrus try to teach the favorite lava borne lizard to swim outside the magma for once.

The Elder Dragons aren't the only Gods in Monster Hunter. There are also ''demigods" capable to dethrone the Gods.
