GGs dude (Ronty), that first game I thought I could edge it out but didn't get any disruption, 2nd game I flooded so hard, the only non-land card in my hand was muse. Loved seeing you combo off.

Big fan of storm, it feels like forever since we’ve seen it doing well. I think the parfait meta really punished it with all the gaeas blessings but it’s definitely due a comeback

Love the deck! This might be a better combo deck than Devourer.
The magic number is 7 spells plus double BF. So at 1:06:00 you just have to Scroll for the 2nd BF and win. I felt like AK often led you to unnecessary "draw a bunch of cards" lines where you could have just won, but it's also fun to show off a little bit ;) Awesome vid regardless.
Good catch, I can definitely tighten up but I also think AK clearly made the BW matchup a landslide in my favor.

So I’m about 40 minutes into the latest Colony and you and Mike need to not spend so much time on this deck! I’ve been slowly starting to build it over the last month (I currently have 17 mismatching lands and am hunting down the most hidious versions of all the spells) and I don’t want my friends to start metaing against me before I have it actually sleeved up. :(
Also, are donate and illusions of grandeur legal in this format? Because that was a sick sapphire medallion combo deck back in the day.
It is and there are people who've experimented with lists - it's a little fringe even with medallion
@@lannynyny sick thing about the old trix deck was the combo of medallion+intuition+AK. When you have a medallion out w/ an AK and an intuition in hand you get to draw 7 card EOT for 4 mana. Or if you only have 3 mana, you get to draw 3 EOT, then untap and draw 4 more on the next turn cycle for just a single blue.

what's the line for the win against Gaea's Blessing?
A copy of brain freeze to hit the first one, then another copy until all of the blessings are triggered, then you cast words of wisdom, (or activate a tormod's crypt). I haven't seen blessing around at all so I just let it ride in this list with no blessing protection
Oh okay sure makes sense. 1:52:47 you said you could beat double Blessing from there that’s why I thought could be a line via Scroll even with no Tormod or Words of Wisdom

You're tapping lands multiple times here so it would deplete very quickly
@@lannynyny yeah, you don’t play it to run it out on turn 1 and waste a depletion counter on playing a sapphire medallion or whatever. On Turn 4, you play it tapped as your 4th land. Then you untap it w/ COF or FS and use it twice. That’s a net-plus 3 mana boost, which is better than a dark ritual which nets 2. And then you still have normal islands to continue tapping and untapping. It’s a very awkward land in multiples and opens you up to wasteland, so it would be a good 1-of or 3-of inclusion.

Before you play any untaps: island is better you can have 1 mana,
After the first untaps (if the opponent don't have wasteland) situation is equal)
After the 2nd yes you have 1 more mana from the land. But it's sacced now
After the third untap island is better, and in all opening hands ECT island is better... if you have a better situation am keen to see it
in this deck the untap effects only untap 3 lands maximum(frantic search). You untap the skerry twice on turn 4, and after using it twice you continue comboing with your 3 other lands.
