    I hope that Crash and Burn go to Battlebots someday they're one of the best multibots I've seen.

      I think that they’re the best. Perfect wedges with perfect drive systems. The team work is also fabulous.

      @@owenmckenzie962 Actually I believe they dropped out this year because of covid but they will likely be back for 2021 so that's still a win in my book.

    why would the one that ISN'T, the same color as fire, be called burn?

    I don't get it.
    They disabled Touro's weapon yet they were fully functional and lost?
    They appear to have won the damage points, and they were clearly chasing Touro around. Much less the internal damage to the electronics from the flamethrowers, which would undoubtedly give them the strategy points. That decision doesn't make sense.

      Touro at the end of the match couldnt use its weapon but that's about it, I genuinely doubt that fire did all that much. And touro definitely had the hold on crash and burn for a large majority of the match. They preferred the multiple good hit by touro over the 10 seconds of fire by crash and burn at the end. Makes sense to me since touro is such an aggressive bot and is was flipping them in the air a whole bunch.

      @@jacobrcoll The fire burned Touro's weapon belts off, so Crash n' Burn actually destroyed Touro's weapon, and took zero damage themselves. That's a huge chunk of points, even if Touro had more on control. Aggression would also be in the multi's favor, since they chased him around while he ran away for most of the match.

      @@kurtisw1117 as far as i know smoke is not considered damage, as im guessing its hard to tell the origin.
      which kinda makes sense tbh, as spinners you can destroy your own weapon well enough without outside interference, my friend smoked a pulley with no fire whatsoever as it was to tight he gave it some throttle and it caused a lot of friction and went all melty and burn't

    These are great prequels to watch after seeing them perform on Battlebots. But the cacophony of the commentators for RoboGames were just atrocious. They really enjoy arguing with each other and passive-aggressively telling the drivers what to do.

    They weren't robbed. That burn at the end was great, but Minotaur, I mean touro maximus, was attacking, hitting, and scoring the whole time.

      @@kurtisw1117 well crash n burn, would fail to qualify as it has no primary weapon.
      its the reason why duck's "wedge" lifts and whoop's is fixed.
      and im not sure if the rules have changed, as season 3 seems better but with the judges scoring wedges actually loose (i think defence?) points every time a weapon hits them. this is why sewer snake/stinger lost to mega tanto, despite clearly stinger owning that fight.

    • @EleanorPeterson
      @EleanorPeterson Před 5 lety +3

      Hi, Damaris! Yep, you're right. It's almost the same. The BattleBots robots usage rights are legally 'owned' by the BattleBots series, which means the robots are not allowed to compete anywhere else. So top roboteers like Ray Billings (Tombstone) and the boys from Brazil (Minotaur) have to build new bots to fight in other contests like RoboGames. Ray made Last Rites, and Touro Maximus is Minotaur's twin brother. It's a pity that the rules are so strict, but that's the way it goes. It'll be interesting to see how China's 'King of Bots' competition handles such contractual exclusivity issues... ;-)
