I have a similar old rose plant same exact way. No leaves no flowers. Poor thing produced three flowers in spring. I cut it down still no improvement. I want to try your method but it has lots of sharp thorns. How should I proceed?
The solution only for scale problem or we can use this for all the problems. Because my rose plant are dried. There were lot of solutions like dip root in hydrogen peroxide use fungicide. Really I don't know what to do. Pls help me

Sir my new bought rose plant had shed all the leaves and flower buds due to drying out and then only stem was remaining now after a month it's giving out leaves, but as soon as the leaves are coming it is drying out the leaves. @@gardening4u11 Like how mam? My rose plant is dying.. I tried doing pruning and applied haldi on it n also have some anti infection powder wich got frm nursery. The soil is still wet.. Shud I water it or shud I leav it fr a week? Shud I keep it under sun or away?

I'm not being rude but roses need some TLC so I would suggest that you plant plants that almost look after themselves and come back every year. This will keep you sane while still having beautiful colours and flowers in your garden. Check out list of plants on Google and you will be surprised what a great variety they have. I am speaking from experience and I love roses but l was beginning to loose the plot and stopped enjoying going out in the garden. Just a thought q😊
