- How is everyone's builds going?
I seriously need to get out and hit the trails and start enjoying my rigs. This winter feels like it has been going on forever!
I guess that gives me more time to build and install killer parts in to my RC's
This weeks install in the 3Racing gear drive for the Sakura D4. I was debating between the Usukani setup and the 3Racing one and I just liked how I had not seen that many people running it yet.
I picked this one up from the good folks at RCMart.com

One recommendation is you WILL need the upgraded spool to install it or the ball diff as it will not fit the stock plastic spool setup.

Another question for you about the gear transmission did you Install the pins for the gears? Do you need them? Or is the Grub screws good enough? I was able to buy the cups got it all installed ready to go!
+Maximo Ramirez I use the pins so that way it sets the gears in the correct spot and it's just makes it a little better to stop them from moving.
What additional parts do you need to get this to work? According to rcmart you just need the SAK-D4809 but seems like I'm missing additional part lmk thanks
+Maximo Ramirez Hi. This was the same issue I ran in to when installing. You also need SAK-09/HD for the locker itself. I just ordered mine to get mine going. I'm going to make sure they add that to the description.
VS Customs yes man I was a little disappointed I was so excited about installing it then I ran into the same issue. Hopefully I can find it locally at a track near me here in Miami.

Hi. I wish I could tell you. I’m pretty sure it was stock. I ended up selling it this summer so I don’t have it here to check what it had.

what parts did you use to finish the gear diferencial ?

is it a preproduction part the gear set?
+Warwick Campbell it is a production setup. I think currently RCMart has the black version in stock. They are getting harder and harder to find.
What diff did you put in for the video instead of the locker diff?
I ended up ordering the upgraded spool locker for it. The one I installed was missing one side.
What happened to this sakura?? Haven't seen a video in a while!!
+Ezra C ya I have been crazy busy with the move and just had another baby and then I dislocated my elbow so she's been an insane couple months. I'm planning on getting back to work on stuff again now.
good job bud but where did you found the END parts on the axel?
I ended up getting the ends from RCMart. They were available separate and fit the upgraded spool I had. They also offer the spool as it is needed for the upgrade.

You could but they are discontinued so finding a set might be hard. The other ones are the new style.
