I find it crazy how the moment I decide to focus on Bakugan and Beyblade again, Bakugan's state of G3 is plummeting. I knew it wasn't doing so hot before but this recent news is interesting. But I hope this means that Spin Master will decide to focus more on not just toy sales, but it's original purpose. An interactive card game for all ages. And of course knowing the community, we'll always be there. We'll always come back. Perhaps this is a step in the right direction? It's really a we have to wait and see what happens right now. But I still have hope Bakugam will thrive!

Spin Master should have focused more on what moves the community, like the anime-exclusive bakugan from Generation 1, video games like Baku-Project, and focused more on originality, rather than imitating Beyblade
If Bakugan Gen 3 ever gets a second season. They should bring back Naga from Gen 1 in someway to Gen 3! Since, they missed the chance in Gen 2.
Also, it’s strange that Dan and Drago. Are the most recurring characters throughout he reboots!
Or return form vexos and gundalians gen 3 season 2

@@beatricebstrikes There were so many people on Bakugan: Battle Planet who cared deeply about Bakugan. They're all gone now. Last I heard, one of the lead designers is doing Pokemon toys!

Honestly, I don't mind not seeing anything new from bakugan any time soon. The less shitty reboots the better honestly.
Currently in Australia stores like Kmart have completely just thrown out bakugan and didn’t bother to clearance either
So this was something i saw coming the moment the rules were released. Gen 3 was cooked on release because it decided to be a bad beyblade ripoff.
I love bakugan, I want bakugan to prosper, i want it to be evergeen like beyblade, but for that to happen, bakugan has to be good, and gen 3 just isn't good. The toys don't feel great, the a lot of the bakugan designs a misses, and the game (the most important aspect of bakugan) is as boring as watching paint dry, the game is so unengaging that there is next to no point in a 3 stat system or even the splitting gimmick.
There was potential in gen 3, the splitting gimmick could've opened itself up to many gimmicks. The 3 stat system could've allowed for interesting battle mechanics, we could've gotten a dungeon dice monsters style or even mini pokèmon style battle system with HP, Attack and Defence stats. Gate cards could've been used for a map maker mechanic. There were so many possibilities and so much potential, but it wasn't used.
Bakugan aren't some cheap action figure series were you can slap on a cheap armour gimmick or blaster and call it a day. At its core Bakugan is a table top skill and stratagy game, and in order for it to succeed, the gameplay, the way the bakugan designs affect gameplay, base mechanics and how card effects can affect said mechanics all need to be thoroughly planned and executed.
Well, I think that currently, the 3D printed anime-exclusive, Gen 1 Bakugan, are more attractive than the Gen 3 Bakugan. Silent Naga, Leonidas, Dryoid, Macubass, Farbros, Rex Vulca, or Helios MK2.2 are more Aesthetically striking, they are attractive due to the nostalgia, their original design and their complexity.
As someone who was around during the initial drought, the community will survive. At that time nobody expected it to come back, yet we still just focused on the series we loved. While it may suck, this is likely the reality we will have to face, at least until spinmaster decides to bring it back once more to market to a new set of kids.

The biggest problem is that Spin Master does things that no one is interested in, the quality of the gen 3 bakugan is worse than that of Gen 1... honestly all my gen 3 bakugan that I have bought I have saved in a box and I haven't taken them out again
I do appreciate Spin Master attempting something different with Gen 3 but they missed the mark on a lot that fans would have wanted to see. And as much as I disliked Gen 2s show the game itself was really interesting and viable for IRL competitive play. They could have done a lot with that alone and it could have grown so much if Covid restrictions didnt take out irl events. There is a fun and interactive game that can be explored in Bakugan for the fans worldwide but it will take some effort ( and time) to get things straight again

Like I said even though nothing is at all confirmed it really does not look good. I never wanted Gen 3 to fail because if it does I might be forced to go get a real job 😅

I feel like they should just redo the original bakugan but instead of the entire dark bakugan shadow realm bull they should do a thing with the original crew where they go into either the actual bakugan plane or a virtual one and they just do battles and every few episodes a character can get a new bakugan for their team have some big tournament arc bring back some old fan favorite characters make a few new bakugan retrains if originals so like a new fear ripper or a new robotalion
I honestly love bakugan. Seeing it fail and it getting canceled for maybe years again sucks because it is such a cool game/toy /cartoon. I always felt it was cool since you actually got to battle with the monsters and feel as if it were real combat unlike other games where it’s just mainly cards and it’s all up to your imagination. Bakugan really deserved so stay like Pokémon and beyblade for years. If people were only more open to things changing bakugan could have survived but they just put it down. Yea maybe it gen 3 wasn’t for you but do you remember when beyblade did beywheels everyone hated it but companies need to try out new things and see what works. I feel like it’s our own fault as fans that bakugan is getting cancelled to all the negativity from fans instead of trying to support.

Honestly, there's nothing wrong with branching out when in comes to content. It's important to route prepare if its actually going to be a long hiatus.
This is a chance for spin master, or someone else at this point, to pick up Bakugan and push it into the right direction. There is so much missed opportunity to make a fun, in depth TCG, or even an online multiplayer game that works like the first season of the legacy shows gameplay ( similar to the Bakugan fan game that is in development), or even something similar to how Bakugan Interspace works. Battling with friends, training together, building decks and new teams in a virtual space. That could be something huge!
The show has lacked depth ever since the first reboot, it needs to bring back the deeper plot lines, and darker themes. It’s just sad that it seems like larger companies no longer listen to their fans when it comes to what they would actually want to buy and interact with. I hope they are able to go back to the drawing board and find something that works. They need to look at what made the Legacy series special, and work off of the core of what Bakugan is.
This is very scary news for me. Only recently I decided to earn a lot of money to buy old and new Bakugan 1,2,3 generations. So that my place comes true. And I know this news. This is just terrible news for me. It seems to me that many are unhappy with this news. For us, Bakugan is life 😢😢😢.
I do not think ever confirmed officially but we know if basically cancelled just observing meeting and ect.
G3 has been clearenced at, in many cases, 50% off at walmart in canada. Both online & in store. Not a limited sale, just a full clearence across the board. Been this way for a few weeks now.

Bakugan is not over. Just because one outside source says something without proof, doesn't automatically make it true.
Bakugan is only taking a break because SM is cheap. As a business major, businesses solely exist to maximize profit. If they are not making profit, they slow down or end production to save on accounting costs and manufacturing.
Now if it truly is gone, we as a community know what we gotta do and make sure we continue getting SpinMaster's attention!

I was hoping that season 2 would get greenlit since despite the negativity of them calling Gen 3 a copycat of Beyblade I kinda enjoyed it and I was hoping we would get some new types of evolution forms for the bakugan like Drago who gained the Gold and Silver evolution including the combination of both of them…I mostly enjoyed the Dino Clan Hook who was my favorite Bakugan resembling my favorite dinosaur and I even enjoyed the golden evolution he had in the climax of season 1…and I was hoping I see him again gaining new evolution forms along the way in season 2….if season 2 doesn’t get greenlit it would be the first time in Bakugan history that we gotten a Bakugan show that only lasted for 1 season and that’s never common to most bakugan shows we gotten over the years I just hope there might be a light of hope that Bakugan doesn’t get cancelled so we won’t have to wait for another 10 years for it to make its return with a new series and a toyline

Hey, Jesse, im not sure if you'll read, but i would like to ask a question, Do you know if a Subterra varient of Harpus was ever made?
I have a Ventus, Pearl Pyrus, and a Translucent Harpus, and recently, I just ordered a Darkuss, Haos, Aquas, and a Pyrus Varients of Harpus. I was unable to find a Subterra Harpus. im not sure if they made her for that attribute or not.

Having dealt with gaps in gens with beyblade I don’t mind waiting for them to cook something else. Gen 3 is no big loss let’s be honest. The system and the game right now is pretty mid.
Yo I have to say I was wondering about the waves and all that. I'm in Sydney and there were barely any Wave 1 bakugan that I ever saw. Most of them were Wave 2 and some Wave 3 core balls, that's it. I've been checking every week and nothing.
gen 2 was trash as well only decent thing was toy production quality but gen 1 is still the best, they should just go back to gen 1
I decided to jump back into the hobby this year. G1 will always be the best imo since I grew up with it so there’s my bias.
I bought a bunch of G3 stuff since it was all on clearance. The G3 show took a bit to get used to, I understand why the Bakugan are in 2 pieces but this was a BAD idea. I think that truly killed it. One half was the character and the other was just random feet or wings. It didn’t feel like Bakugan imo. Ventri is my favourite character in G3, everyone else was meh to me. They really had Drago working in a burger shop?
Anyways, I’m warming up to G2 now and catching up on the series. If G3 does get cancelled it gives me some time to collect the G2 stuff.

I speculate that the execs wanted to push bakugan to big stores and get a bug volume of toys out.
That would explain the oversimplified game, as it's so simple anyone of any game skill can pick up. What they forgot is that playing glorified dice gets boring quickly. The show being probably worse then G2 also doesn't help.
The new "street" theming is also a bank on the current thing, at least in the mind of the execs.
Honestly, there is money to be made if they started smaller and grew back up to size, featuring the toys, a good IRL game and an actually good video game.
The toy line may not be going well but the anime show is Great

Honestly this generation was just kinda sad. I couldn’t stand the show the game was dumb and way too random for any real skill to be involved with it, it was just a mess. It saddened me that Bakugan isn’t doing well now, but like an old sick dog, it’s better to put them down than have them go on suffering

Bro quit bakugan and start Beyblade. Beyblade is here to stay at least. you can get into metal fight for example, it’s the best generation we have out of all four and the anime is a masterpiece
My opinion is, Gen 3 ruined Bakugan.. They turned them into BEYBLADES… Sorry SpinMaster, I will pass on buying the merch… It’s sad to see Bakugan like this.. The Gen 3s I did buy almost all broke right out of the packaging….
However I still love Bakugan.
I feel you. They just took away what made bakugan special and unique. I love the bind gimmick but the special attack BS being over advertised like its actually trying to be beyblade rather than something that should be put to the side.
@RyujinSaviorX thing is spinning bakugan with ripcords aren't even new. Gen 1 did this first, but the difference was they weren't dumb enough to add a tip that stops the bakugan from rolling. The blade piece isn't a problem. Considering it's optional, it's just the peg they decided to add
