    Roger That ! I read you 5X5, I appreciate all the suggestions coming from you experts being that I'm just starting to get back into the hobby, I'll change out the stock gyro on my Blade 400, and see how it affects the stock tail servo as soon as I have a chance to change out the main shaft, I can't believe what happened on my maiden flight, but it was mentioned in the rc heli forums, oh well live and learn, and keep on flying, thanks for the gyro percentage suggestion, I'll give that a whirl.🤙🏻

    all u need to do is go to your gyro menu, setup a value for rate mode and a value for heading hold. After you use rate mode for mechanical setup then yes you can disable it and make both values rate mode but i reccomend keeping a rate mode so you can reset the gyro s hh mode if ever needed.
    also gov is a set head speed like cruse control if you will. mostly for nitro but its becoming popular on electrics

What are your thoughts. And can i use this tx for other helicopters as well. Back in the day you had to buy a receiver for that particular radio and a matching channel crystal. Help. I have a small question which I believe you might know..
    My heli tail banks/falls downwards and heli tilts little left when I punch it hard up-down. Easy flying is okay, & it’s mechanically fine. I am using 6250hx fbl and dx radio. Thank you

    • @33forsaken
      @33forsaken  Před 3 lety

      Hey buddy, are you meaning that when you apply hard up and down collective the Heli wants to tilt or drift ? Or are you meaning just the tail give a little twitch or gives out on hard collective load?

    • @techsavy5669
      @techsavy5669 Před 3 lety

      @@33forsaken Thanks a ton Freddy. During simple forward flight the tail tries to bank down, I have to keep inputting small positive elevator at times. If this was high up in sky the heli can actually perform a back roll by itself.
      Also in stationary hover when I do sudden pitch (up-down) pumps then surely the tail tilt/banks downward and the heli tilts slightly left.
      I tried to raise the cyclic gains from 65 to 85 but no change. No stability/rescue or any other jazzy stuff enabled. It’s a pretty balanced heli with 386mm RT blades.

    • @33forsaken
      @33forsaken  Před 4 lety

      So if I remember the raptor 50 is a class 600. So I would look into the Align or Goblin brand if you want a good quality Heli at a reasonable price. Parts are readily available and cheap as well. E-flight makes a 500-600 I do believe or you can look at clone models as well. However I always say, you will get what you pay for. If your wanting something you can enjoy and will work right, go with the good brand names for sure.

    Eventhought I tuned the weight and balance of my model trying to match RF, my heli does not behave like this, during a flight, comparing to my real flight. it ducks forward and backward during a streight flight. Mine does nt behave like that. It files streight and goes to a lift when the speed grows. I downloaded Trex 700 and despite my tunings at TX, it files more realistic during a streight flight. So It is up to us individually to judge.

    Hi Freddy, so I recently received my Blade 400 3d, yes I know she's vintage stock old/new as in never been flown, ( recieved 26 Dec. 2020 ) so I take her out for a maiden flight, on my fifth attempt at hovering, she starts to yaw to the right without any rudder input, could this have been caused by the stock gyro/tail servo failing, I've read about it on the rc heli forums and obviously the inevitable happened. So I now have a GY 401 and Futaba S9257 which I would like to install when convenient, I am still a novice, and what I would like to ask you is this , what setting on the gyro would you recommend as far as percentages are concerned ? also I would like to install the HI-TECH 65 MG servos as well. I'd appreciate your recommendations for the GY 401 though. Thank You !

    • @33forsaken
      @33forsaken  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey buddy so I am not the most knowledgeable for Futaba but I can say usually starting around 32% heading hold gain is always a great place to start. Then you can fine tune it from there based on your RPM and model size and what not. They 401 will use the radios Gyro menu for the adjustments.

  • @rmiklosh
    @rmiklosh Před 4 lety +1

    Freddy. Let's say if I am flying forward and want to make a smooth left turn in a circle I have to add a bit of right eleron during the turn, otherwise the heli will want to tilt left. Is it correct? I did it in Realflight 7.5. By the way, what is your opinion about RF physics? to me it seems pretty realistic. I would say, 95 percent. I edited Aligh 500 FBL, added some weight to the heli in RF because I managed to stick a 4500 mAh 65C 6s battery on my heli) after some modifications. I had to move the canopy like 3 santimeters forward and had to cut 50 milimeters of a fuselage down where battery tray is. Since I put speed fuselage, the tail became kinda heavy.

    • @33forsaken

What do u think, I put Microbeast box right below main shaft, vertically, and if u look from the side, it is symetrical, 90 degrees to the shaft, but in the center of the shaft. I thought I experiment with placements and to me it seems like a perfect swing point of a heli, like a pendulum point, if u know what i mean. I assumed that all smallest deviations occur there, and therefor it react better, rather thean if u put it behind on a general tray. What do u think? I am still having good flying with that setup. • @33forsaken
      @33forsaken  Před 4 lety

      Yes very correct the RATE mode will allow the servo to center after a command so you can program and setup. (take in mind now a days with FBL this can vary). then once complete you basically active the GYRO by using HH mode to fly that way the tail can compensate and counter act torque.

I set the gain in my DX6i but I wonder if the hardware scre on the gyro influences anything and/or interferes with the gain I set in the Tx. Should I leave that screw at maximum anticlockwise (0 gain), ar maximum clockwise, at 50% or it has no importance?
