- Rob Reiner appears on Late Night to promote his new film "The Sure Thing." In the audience are the film's stars Daphne Zuniga and 18-year-old John Cusack.
In his second segment, Rob has Dave call Albert Brooks, who has his dog perform a Stupid Pet Trick over the phone.

The scene in the car where they end up getting pulled over by the police is hilarious.

I miss the old days they were so young Daphne looks cute as well. Albert Brooks steals the show literally. Also I miss landline phones as a regular thing oh well modern conveniences LOL
Land line phones are better to use- in some cases- than cell phones.

Oh man, what a find! Thanks for posting this!! I am a huge Albert Brooks fan and also love The Sure Thing, and almost all Rob Reiner movies. So, to have a clip with both of them and John Cusack and Daphne Zuniga -- which I think I have been mispronouncing all these years, after hearing Reiner say her name -- is just amazing. Btw, Lost in America is one of my all-time favs. Wow!!! Thank again for posting, great stuff.

Surprisingly, he never guested on Late Night. Just his sister Joan, in 1988. His first appearance on Dave was on Late Show, in 1997.
