The Apple ecosystem is like your own personal military and like the military branches, these devices are, pretty obviously, carefully designed, not to compete with, but to complement each other. To further extend the metaphor, the iPod was like the Old Navy, with its battleships, and the iPhone is more like the new Navy, complete with aircraft carriers, submarines and nukes.
Simply put, there is no need for the Vision Pro to replace the iPhone anymore than there is need for the space force to replace the navy. The use cases are so different, that it’s just not necessary. They work better together.
No way people get rid of their phone for this. No matter how cool it’s to bulky

For the vision to be the future it would have to be strapped at all time on your face. The good thing about smart phones is that you can quickly use it and carry on with your life. I don't see people taking the time to put a headset to check the time or if there is messages.
I think you have this wrong. I think the Apple Vision Pro ends up replacing your supersize monitors and your home theaters. This essentially allows you to bring your office with you on the road and use it anywhere. In four years it’ll be eight times more powerful and about a quarter of the weight.
I value seeing the world through my eyes and being aware of my surroundings. Apple can keep dreaming that the vision pro will sell. Virtual reality has been around since the 1980’s and still the technology is not there.

Vision Pro doesn’t do ‘adult time’ so it’s doomed to failure. I imagine someone will find a way to disable the nanny mode soon and set the technology free.
5:56 Yeah the size clearly need to shrink significantly which will fix the weight and pressure part of the problem. I just looked at some VR glasses and they look promising. 5:56 Vision Pro don't need to shrink exactly to the size of a VR glasses but somewhere between the size range of a VR glasses and Vision Pro form factor. 14:19 Yep, more refinement need to be done on the Vision Pro especially with the size of it.

Vision Pro is a different product category to the iPhone. It will not replace it but will go alongside it.

So I tried out the vision pro and I love the clarity of it and the simplicity of the setup proccess. But in my opinion it's not worth $3500 that's just to much money for a headset that dosnt even come with controllers and is Apples fist headset. I'll just wait it out for now because knowing Apple they will eventually figure it out, and when they do then I will buy.

Yes, in maybe 3 or 4 years
VISION PRO would have to be reduced to typical eyeglasses before it could replace the iPhone. It would have to be convenient, light weight and sexy enough to wear all the time.
This obviously could not be achieved without a goggle apparatus needed to eliminate outside light.

I went to an Apple Store two days ago and did the demo. 70% of it was just “cool”. the only thing that stood out was the immersive video but even with that and everything else, NOTHING said to me that this was worth the price and I cannot see the need that this satisfies. Sorry, don’t agree that this is the future. Meta quest looks like a better, cheaper option. I wish Apple would have come out with the long rumored Glasses. THAT would be worth considering.
What Apple fans experienced with the Apple VR glasses (The 3D 360 VR) I already had 8 years ago with the Samsung Gear VR. 3D 360 degrees movies, metaverse, 3D 360 games, museums, VR travel, VR shopping.
The only difference is that the Apple VR glasses have more advanced hardware.

This is so stupid. Why would Vision Pro replace the iPhone? It's a different product category. Surely something will replace the iPhone eventually, but it won't be some glasses.
I'd rather not live with a barrier on my face that blocks any chance or possibility of social interaction around me. Technology is becoming so invasive and all consuming that id rather just abandon all of it at the rate things are going. This techs fascinating, though i will be actively avoiding it by any means.

The Vision Pro is nearly twice the price of the base model of the iPhone 15 pro max (giving it as an example cuz people would usually buy the cheaper storage yet flagship model)
What I’m trying to say is that people aren’t and will not be capable of buying the Vision Pro if that’s gonna be the future because of the price so the iPhone would stick around because apple is still competing with Samsung and the Vision Pro would become another device category, which people can chose when considering to buy an apple product.

Split screen is what a lot of people want but apple keeps dragging their feet on this tech.
The iPhone needed more than a decade (and a dozen iterations) to get to the point that it's good enough for most consumers. Good enough display. Good enough camera. Good enough processor. Good enough battery. Good enough functionality and usability. Further iterations are no longer a big draw. Consumers will keep their current iPhones for years without upgrading.
That's why the iPhone market is slowly dying. I just bought the standard iPhone 15, and I don't expect to replace it for at least another 8-10 years. It is simply good enough for what I do with a smartphone.
The Vision Pro (and its successors) will also need a decade to prove its worth. Right now, I can't imagine WHY I need one. Sure, the tech is amazing and cool and fun and all that, but do I need it as my daily driver? Prove it to me.
I'm not going to spend $3,500, or even $1,000, for my amusement. I want genuine *u-t-i-l-i-t-y.*

Vision Pro will replace the iPad as content consumption and limited productivity. iPad and Mac are safe for now. Mac might go away if the efforts to force Apple to allow use as a general computer where you can load apps not specifically designed for it.

I genuinely do not get all the hype. Like... it's cool but I'm not going to wear this kind of appliance on my face all day (not that it can last that long anyway if I wanted to). I take my phone with me everywhere, the battery lasts all day, I can quickly check it and put it away and remain mostly in the actual world where I live, as opposed to pulling this absurd Buick-sized computer out of an awkward case that I don't want to carry around.
Vision Pro will be cool and practical when it's a fraction of the price, fits in a pair of regular sized glasses, lasts all day, and doesn't turn my face into a silly caricature. Until then its place is collecting dust on a shelf in my entertainment center because there's just no practical reason to actually use it, and no way to use it more than a couple hours a day anyway. It is very, very far from an "iPhone killer" lol.

If Apple was so careless to force people into the Pro Vision market, I feel they’ll lose a large segment of their business, particularly given the entry price point of the Pro Vision.

Yeah if they can make it look like a pair of glasses like a lot of other companies have with Android maybe maybe Apple would do good but first off charging $3,000 for something that you can get an Android version that works even better has more apps for $200 looking pretty pathetic and by the way the people that complain that they can't get the apps on the on their version of Android pro vision just don't know how to install the apps properly it's pretty sad it's the same thing you have to do with an Amazon tablet to get Android Play store to work

I think Apple and Sony should collaborate on this product, they could make another trillion dollar industry in the next 2 to 3 years, I say Sony, because I really don’t see them doing anything with their competitor Microsoft, lol, but we’ll see. I think this has advancements in, the gaming and movie viewing form. The only thing bad about this tech is so many things are coming out in the past two years, that whoever hits something out of the park first will be the Victor, so Apple better get their crap together soon before somebody else makes, something similar and easier to get and bring home to the average consumer, remember, what happened with Sony and beta Max, JVC saw the opening, took it, and even though beta max came out a year and a half before JVC’s video, cassette head system, we all know who took the Victor there, Don’t make the same mistake Sony did apple, who knows collaborate and never know what can happen

When you look back at this video you made 5 years from now on how this is a moment most akin to the iWatch (i.e. basically a small, mostly irrelevant product), I wonder how/if you will try to whitewash the fact that you were wrong, and that the line of Apple Vision devices are the fastest selling, highest revenue generating products in Apple’s history that have ushered into existence entirely new forms of content and modes of digital interaction. Like many, you focus more on version 1 limitations, ignoring version 2+ advancements and what that trend has historically enabled. The intersection of AI and what this enables that no prior tech could is what really matters.
Apple is not going to get rid of the iPhone
OK, we have to start being more logical about what happening here. This is not like the iPhone, the iPhone wasn’t even even what people said it was when it came out, android had been doing this for years before the iPhone existed. The only reason why iPhone took off the way it did is because of it User fan base in the apple S system. And it was very accessible for millions of visually impaired/blind people and user-friendly interface for them. Made it very convenient to use for the first time in a smart phone platform. We have to understand that when the iPhone came out the technology that was existed, in the same and better forms. The first time I saw an android, it looked like a little computer, it was in 07, and I was blown away. This technology is advanced, but as of right now, there is nothing on the market like it, so this has everything to do with something new And let’s just face it. The iPhone wasn’t really new tech when it came out, it was just a phone with OS Apple, and everything else that was in the Apple user interface. I think this tech will takeoff, but not like we expected to, or how we expected to, I still believe that this will become more of an entertainment product rather than or communication. We’ll see what happens, hopefully they can improve technology and make it more affordable and fix these first GEN bugs.

You made a video just to reach the conclusion of Saving the iPhone? I’m not pissed at this but none of your previous comments is a bit of lacking imagination here, the iPhone was a 2007 product and soon in the year 2027 the iPhone will probably be downsized into a communicator device and this is what Apple should be doing with Apple Vision Pro, sad to note the Vision Pro does not include cellular service similar to the first original iPad when that came out.
What you need is imagination rather than just summing up your thoughts on the word save. You can do a lot better.

VR headsets, of any kind, are a guaranteed fauilure and waste of money! Can you really see everyone walking round with VR headsets on. That's stupid! What about driving. That surely is illeagal! The iPhone (or any phone, for that matter) stays hidden in your pocket, when not used (for it's primary purpose). If you have a handfree, you don't even pick it up to use it. The only thing Apple would acomplish by canelling the iPhone, is to drive it's customers to switch to Android phones.
As far as the Apple Watch. There has been watches around for hundreds of years. The Apple Watch is just a continuation. The watch is going nowhere.
The Apple Vision, in any itteration, is doomed to be failure. Even is Apple were to give them away for free. If you want to see the future of Apples Visions, look in the back of the drawer (where every other failed peace of electronics is).

Nobody wants to wear stuff on their face. Maybe the user use research and the visionOS is the replacement for iphone. What if the iPhone camera was so smart it knew where you were looking in the phone interface and maybe in the real world. If you happened to have a smart watch, ear pods, future apple glasses, goggles, or Apple brain inplant, then they’ve got integration and user interface in spades.

If Apple is switching to goggles and ditching the phone, I’m ditching Apple. I’d rather go back to a “dumb phone” than have a dumb looking device on my face.
The guy who did the video is full of it. The phone will continue to be around and very popular for many years to come. Apple will do 2 things with Vision. They will create a large line of Vision products. This means they will continue to make Vision Pro better, lighter, faster. Then they'll have around a $2000 dollar product that are basic Vision goggles. And finally they'll have sunglass type product for around $750 dollars. The second thing they'll do is put Vision technology in existing products iPhone, iPad, Mac, and watch. For example we already have the spatial video camera on iPhone 15 pro.
At some point some people will choose to use the sunglasses as iPhone replacements. But that doesn't mean iPhone goes away, simply that the number of phones sold will decline somewhat. Apple themselves won't discontinue the phone, but instead customers will vote with their dollars as to which device to use.
The only way this happens is if it shrinks down to glasses or contact lenses, not happening for a decade at least
