- This CZcams Tutorial will show you how to setup the Apple Watch Series 8 with iPhone 14 13, 12, 11 and iPhone 8 or newer. This series 8 Apple Watch Setup tutorial works with previous generation Apple Watches. Before you begin you will need a supported iPhone and an Apple Watch 8 or older, preferably iOS 16 or the latest version of iOS available. The setup process takes a bit of time so it's best to follow all the instructions right to the end of the video. This way, everything runs smoothly. Thanks bud! I just got my series 8. I went with the 41mm stainless. It’s pretty nice, good weight. Wish they had the 45mm available in stainless but not a deal breaker for an extra 4mm lol. Watch came completely dead battery so I’m impatiently waiting for it to charge. This video has been a great help. Subbed! Nice to see a feller Canadian eh. Cheers

I setup my Apple Watch S8 . All the iphone app is coming except some app I downloaded from App Store like whatsup etc . How should i add those app on apple watch .?
Some apps choose not to create apps for the Apple Watch and as far as I know WhatsApp doesn't have one.
Can you explain why the 8 dies so fast? I literally was using the the first se watch and it lasted me almost three days! This series 8 lasts me a day that’s about it. It’s a cellular watch
I never have heard of an Apple Watch ever lasting more then a day or 2 max. I can’t explain why it dies so fast as every Apple Watch I have used dies within 24 hours.

Is it worth it to upgrade from Apple Watch Series 3?
I would if I had the money at that point but if you don’t feel the series 8 features are worth it then don’t upgrade yet.

Why not use a passcode?
I don’t like being prompted for it as I use the watch for quick access. Apple should only apply the passcode when it is charging or off the wrist.

Why is mine making me put my Apple ID email and password on it bc it won’t let me do it
You need to have your Apple ID setup for it to work.
I have two Apple IDs, one for iCloud, iMessage etc and a second Apple ID for media purchases, App Store etc, during set up in this scenario will I be asked to enter the passwords as I had always previously had to? I had paired my Series 8 from backup and my Fitness settings are showing the wrong Apple ID which I’m putting down to passwords not being requested.
Any experience of this situation please?
Unfortunately having 2 Apple IDs really complicates things especially with the Apple Watch that pulls from the iPhone. Best bet is to use one for everything. In your situation you will have to log out of iCloud on the iPhone and use the one you want to use with the Apple Watch. You may need to remove the Apple Watch and pair it all over.
Thanks for coming back to me. I have always had two IDs since I’d had an original ID for iTunes back when I had an iPod and then when I got iPhones I used MobileMe and created my own ID. The media purchases ID is shared by my family so that’s also why I have two separate IDs - this was before Family Sharing became an Apple thing. Everything has always worked just fine until I got my Series 8 watch. I had no problem with the original Apple Watch, Series 3, 4 or 5 just this new watch. During the pairing I had previously been asked to enter my passwords for iCloud and then the media purchase account. Very frustrating. Thanks for responding.

Not with this setup. This is the wifi model, I wasn’t able to get the cellular model unfortunately.
