The decline probably started when music appreciation in the schools stopped being taught!! I feel sooo sorry for kids in the lazy school systems nowadays!! As a k-12 teacher it feels like a tragic abomination to cheat American students this way!! It seems almost criminal!!
Barry Bennett... I truly believe it boils down to education and appreciation of the arts, which has been in a serious decline over the years!! School districts have made massive cuts in education which is part of the “evil plan” for America!! Does anyone care that children’s rights to knowledge and a good education is and has been in serious decline!! ?? Ponder the previous generations of parents and parenting and the Many reasons for the American decline and the decline of the quality of education children are now receiving!! STEP IN parents or continue losing more of your family’s rights to QUALITY education!! It’s all up to you!! Time to start researching the previous and compare it with the present. Your children’s right to a PROPER education are at stake. The school systems are already collecting your hard earned money!! Do you feel that you are getting what you are PAYING for??!! Why do you think previous textbooks are no longer available?? Could it be that certain groups don’t want you to know what the students are sadly missing out on??

I had the honor are being invited to Nick's house several times for Jam sessions I'm a gypsy I was 18 years old when I first met Nick we would party at his house BBQ of course he would play for us I would cook but then it gives you food for him and his wife I really mean it was a blessing and honor to be Nick's presents while he performed live that's something you will never forget I remember it like yesterday.
God gave him a gift and he shared it with all of us thank you Nick your friend Gypsy Janet.

Nick Ariondo is up there with other accordion greats. Besides his technical mastery, the FEELING he puts behind this classic song is just as impressive. Also, check out Richard Gagliano and the late Gervasio Marcosignori (not much on YT for Marcosignori, and only in his senior years). My brother mastered this song on classical guitar. The late, great Roy Clark played this song beautifully on classical guitar as well.
