These trailers are so clever basically they are showing the teenage characters changing into their adult characters,it's so artistic.

@@user-kz7pd6ih3s its not realistic to show all of the characters though. Many friends dont stay in touch 3-5 years after school, let alone all catch up in the span of a few weeks/months.

season 7 was so sad because Effy Cook and Cassie were each stripped of the characteristic that brought their characters to life in the previous seasons. its realistic which made it even more heartbreaking. they each seemed to be an empty shell of their former selves, and at the end of this season i felt the same way :(
the most heartbreaking one was cook's episodes, it really showed how he changed after freddy's death.
I did too, this season broke me and made me feel. I think that was the key thing to this season, feeling and experiencing.
I don’t think it had anything to do with Freddy’s death, but the multiple factors including Freddie’s death. Jail no mother no father. Criminal record. No direction…
It's called becoming an adult.
Effy in Fire was amazing. I wish they had done more episodes with like Tony, Michelle, and the other characters.
I agree! I think it was a good way to reimagine the show with previous characters. Now an 8th series focusing on three other characters would be great!

I do, too, but friends fade. Pandora was certainly bound to fade from Effy's life when she was accepted into Harvard and I think Effy knew that.

@@davargo- But it still wouldn't matter much to Effy, in this series if you can tell, is mainly focused in unfinished characters storylines, in way you can predict what happened to most gen members from previous series, these 3 had pending issues regarding their personality and lifestyle, so in way this wraps their journey.

I love this show. Thank goodness for Netflix or I never would have seen it. The UK has some pretty awesome shows.

every time I watch this trailer I get shivers and goosebumps all over my body, im so damn excited!!!!!!
"I'M COOOOOK!!!"
I found this a really hard watch. Effy goes from being a receptionist to a Stock Trader in the space of about 10 minutes, Naomi spends the first hour lying around looking bored and listless and the second hour literally dying, "oh this is going to be fun..." There's a sort of love triangle thing too for Effy with two guys. Cassie's one is better but still the dull wintery colours, the sad music and the slow pace and low energy makes it drag. Cassie is also in....you guessed it a love triangle....
The finale with Cook felt like it made sense for the character, that he'd become a drug dealer. The dialogue is pretty absurd though, he doesn't really do or say anything yet his bosses girlfriend finds him utterly fascinating for some reason. The finale has .....you guessed it, a love-triangle thing going on....Wish the writers would bother to try and come up with something more original.
The message seemed to be that once you grow up from being a teenager the fun ends. Effy winds up in jail, Cook an outlaw, Naomi dead and Emily destroyed....

Actually it breaks my heart seeing Effy all grown up and serious like this. The old Effy (with dark makeup on her eyes, deep issues and so on) will always be in the special place in my heart

I totally cried. It's a mixture of the music and knowing this is the last series. A bit emotionally overwhelming. I grew up watching this. Now they're growing up with me as well.
I can’t believe its been 10 years. I vividly remember how excited I was that this was gonna come out after that disastrous last generation
I remember watching the first episode & just going crazy for it. Loving this trailer it's shot so well. omg the final season please let it be soon. The music, the fashion, the characters so much love for it.

Effy was always running away from responsibility and the consequences of her action when she was young. But, in her adult life, she finally grows up and takes responsibility for her actions. Which is good closure for her character. She finally grows up.

Technically it was a happy ending effys smile always means shell be just fine so even if she went to jail shell probably do fine anyway
I dont care effy will always be amazing she didn't deserve it because she was a b when she was younger because tony accident freddy disappeared her mum and had divorced her mental crisis #ILUVEFFY although she did do some bad stuff she is still amazing

I cry everytime I see this...I have never loved anything more than I love Skins. I can just tell by this amazing trailer that this series is going to be perfect like all the other series of Skins.
This is so beautiful I just want to cry. The nostalgia, the feels, the everything my heart can't possibly take. Oh how much this series has become me. I just don't know how or when i can accept the fact that it will be over. :/

Agreed! :) And I love how they just use different things in all of their trailers to symbolize/foreshadow what the season will be about. It's so much more interesting and makes you think.

i really wasnt too sure about skins at 1st but i watched the whole series back to back on netflix and fell in love with it, cant wait ;-)

I cannot wait for July to get here! The last time I was this excited about a TV show over the summer, was back in 2009 when 'Torchwood - Children of Earth' came out. Ironically, BOTH shows are made in the UK, & BOTH got released in the beginning of July. I have such high hopes for all 3 'parts' of this season of 'Skins.' ALSO, I can't get enough of this trailer! It was done REALLY well. Cook looks older by a lot, Effy I couldn't tell because of the lighting, & Cassie looks EXACTLY THE SAME lol.
