- One day in 2013 Stoke decided they would not be like other mid table Premier League sides and appointed Mark Hughes to sign every player who had a big club on their CV.
Five Champions League winners played for Stoke during that time and in this video we'll take a look at where their careers went alongside their superstar colleagues.
Join me on this nostalgic journey as we celebrate the triumphs and tribulations of Stoke City during the mid 2010s. Like, share, and subscribe if you love weird and wonderful stories from the world of football.

I have been told that for every like and subscribe this video gets Mark Hughes will sign a failed wonderkid
Bojan was never the same for Stoke after that injury against Rochdale in the FA Cup. Before that he lit the place up on more than a few occasions.
A truly sad career path
Crazy how strong Stoke were on paper at times. Will never forget their 6-1 win over Liverpool.
More champions league winners than most teams in the league. Insane
We weren't just strong on paper, we were one of the best teams outside of the Big 6 for three years.
Some great times but it came crashing down
as a stoke fan thank you for making this video🙏
I'm glad you enjoyed it
i want bojan to manage a team, he was really close with a lot of people and must have learned something from rijkaard or henry, i can see him managing a mid table spanish team in the coming years
He may start managing one of Barcelona's youth teams and then go to Barcelona B
bojan and shaqiri moved to stoke shock me...made me spit my drink 😂
😂
I wonder how Pulis would have fared during this time if he had remained at Stoke
Probably not much better. The Premier League was changing around them and they needed to adapt
@@he_football Fair enough
Great Video. However, calling Arnautovic consistently Serbian is like calling the French national team African. The joke is funny once, but it gets old after a while. Arnautovic was born and raised in Vienna, Austria, and never considered playing for Serbia.
Stoke, however, marked a turning point for Arnautovic. In Stoke, he described it as a calm place where he could concentrate solely on football because the press left him alone.
Didn't he use slurs against some Albanian players?
he expressed his nationalist feelings for Serbia multiple times, you can look it up
@@abmpt1375 absolutely bs.
Stoke have regretted dismissing pulis
They really did but could he have done much better in the long run?
what 🤣🤣🤣🤣
2 Liz Truss' 😂😂
That's just how I calculate months 😂
