Superb review - exactly what I was looking for !!!
Be nice if the Italians with their design flare introduced special order colour matches!
Thank you for your information and service help. Long life your channel and full throttle. 🤘😎🏍💨💨💛
Love the Charlie Chihuahua rear rack frame option.
I'm very impressed with the Givi products purchased for my INT 650 and Meteor 350. High quality and reasonably priced. I switch a 29L Givi Mono lock top box between the two RE's. I highly recommend the Givi products. I think the Super Meteor looks stunning with the Givi luggage. Thanks for the video!
I full time tour on my 2020 Interceptor 650 and LOVE IT with 37,000mi/60,000km. I want to test ride the Super Meteor so bad, but I haven't seen any dealers in the USA with one yet. I was really hoping with the Super Meteor being a "Cruiser" that they would go to belt drive to do away with always having to stop to clean and lube and adjust the chain, not to mention the mess. As soon as I saw a belt drive conversion, I installed it on my INT650 and it has been maintenance free for over 18,000mi/29,000km. In my opinion a "Cruiser" should be able to go long distances without any maintenance. With the chain I had to stop sometimes twice a week for just chain servicing in accordance with the owner's manual, "Lubricate and Adjust every 1000 Kms / Clean, Lubricate and Adjust every service or earlier as required" 621 miles. I see the Super Meteor Owner's Manual calls for "Clean, Lubricate and Adjust every 500 km or earlier as required or after riding in wet/dusty/muddy conditions" or 310 miles which is a day's ride for me. PLEASE consider making a belt drive option and/or conversion kit. I love the quality of your parts.
Nice bike and bits, Obviously been looking at SW Motec
I have a 56 litre Givi top box on my CB500F that’s indispensable. The larger top box holds a full face helmet securely. That’s all I need, I don’t use panniers around town. Hamper me when I’m filtering through traffic, legal in Australia when traffic is stopped at the lights.
Tank bags are also handy.
such a beautifullll Indian bike .... perfect... waiting to see the bobber version
Nice luggage on a beautiful bike
🏍️😎👍
Very nice first look … Cheers 🍻
Nice review thanks. With increasing concern about rear enders i'd like to see an improvement to the rear light when luggage is fitted. Another issue is rear wheel accessibility around the pannier frames. It looks like they would need to be removed to remove the rear wheel
.
I think the Super meteor 650 actually looks better with those side cases fitted, but not with the cases removed. I fitted a previous bike of mine (Tiger 800xc) with Givi quick-release pannier rails: Once the rails were remove (quickly!), only the observant would notice that there had been anything added to the bike. I hope that Givi have quick-release pannier rails in development for the Meteor 650: I think the 'ironwork' left on the bike after the panniers are removed is typically unattractive, and Royal Enfield are bound to sell enough Meteors to make it worthwhile to Givi to manufacture a product that is still available for a 2011 Triumph!
The Remove-X frames by Givi are now actually available for the Super Meteor, you can see them on the following link: accessories.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/49206?cont_page=Royal-Enfield-650-Super-Meteor-Accessories
That luggage at the start really suits the bike, thanks.
* The problem is that this system is Monokey not Monolock, The 2 are not interchangeable, so be aware if you are thinking of purchasing.*
Yes. I have monokey on my Triumph. He said monolock but it is monokey!
👏👏👏
Kindly check aeedea luggages for supermeteor... It's Fantastic
👌👌👌❤❤❤
Please show a 865 big bore kit conversion.
Does a full face helmet fit into the side panniers, as top box is ugly on a cruiser
I purchased a SM650 two weeks ago and am considering accessories.
I used to ride a Suzuki Bandit 600 that I outfitted with GIVI top and side cases. I found that the side cases would cause a headshake at high speeds on that motorcycle. I did some testing with and without bags fitted and confirmed that it was the side bags that caused the issue. My theory is that the areodynamic drag of the side cases and/or added weight caused the weight or downforce on the front tire to be reduced. this enabled a headshake to occur. The top case never caused an issue.
That has made me reluctant to use them (side cases) ever since. While I realize the wheel base and steering geometry are very different with the SM 650, I am curious to know what riders say about effects on the bike’s handling with luggage attached?
That luggage isn't really in keeping with the retro style of the bike but I guess something is better than nothing. The screen is really nice and looks better than Royal Enfield's own.
It's as if you read my mind with this video. Was looking at luggage options for the SM650, wish they made the panniers slightly larger, I dont think it would be a problem for the SM
Are these good for classic 350? From where we can buy them if they are?
It uses the Givi monokey system not the monolock system. I use the Givi Trekker monokey luggage on my 2022 Triumph T120 Bonneville and can switch it to my Royal Enfield Super Meteor!
Is the top box roomy enough to accommodate an XL sized full-face helmet?
hi, do you know if these motorcycle bags have assembly problems with the tourer saddle? thank you
Do they make/do you carry the side racks for the classic 350 (reborn)?
Do the GIVI racks and top box work with the Super Meteor 650 GT?
Pity the top box rack doesn't appear to fit on the Super Meteor Celestial model. Which is strange, as out of the whole range of super meteors the Celestial with the comfortable touring seat is the model that is most aimed at touring...
I would like to know if shipments can be made to Cancun, Mexico
I have the Celestial Blue with the backrest fitted, will the rack still fit without interfering with the backrest?
Hello, you would need to remove the back rest to fit the rear rack.
Nice video, thanks! All the luggage options I see are mounted on the standard version. Do you any idea regarding the compatibility of the rack and topbox with the touring seat?
Also, have you ridden the bike with the Givi screen? How does it compare to the original touring screen from RE?
Good question about the top box, I want to know that too… no answer obviously 😢
@@aussiebikerdude6563 FWIW: I have a touring seat and we just went out and ordered the luggage rack/sissy bar combo from Italy.
We drilled two new sets of holes about 12mm to the fore so the whole thing moves back a bit on the bike and thus will nn longer scratch the rear of the seat. Still, you will lose about 3cm of pillion space. The GIVI product page shows the two setups side by side, that might give you an idea how it would work out with the top box.
@@flhfd1703 thanks mate, so u had to remove the back rest also? Strange they don’t make a rack to suit the touring seat
@@aussiebikerdude6563 Yes, we had to. Actually there used to be a rack in the accessories catalogue that would fit into the touring seat backrest, but like the panniers it disappeared from all web pages at some point.
Hi Sir - pls also let me know whether the top rack work with original RE back rest as well
Hello, unfortunately there is not enough clearance to fit this rack with the RE accessory back rest.
I have been very skeptical of buying a mgnetic tank bag, someone please clarify this for me - Do the magnets of the tank bag mess around with the EFI system or the fuel pump?
Never had a problem with the magnetic bags interfering with the fuel pump or injection system
Do you think you/Allan would consider looking into a rev counter accessory for the SM650?
Hi Brian, we have a rev counter due out at the end of the month. It is not listed on our site just yet, but this will be under part number 92978
@@HitchcocksMotorcycles great news, any idea of the approximate price?
Hi Brian, not something I know as it will be a new item, it might be worth dropping the office an e-mail: info@hitchcocksmotorcycles.com
@@brianwest8243
Thank you Gentlemen. Do you believe that they would look as good on a Meteor 350?
Hello, the weightless luggage shown in the video would also be well suited to the 350 Meteor. You can see see the Meteor accessory section on the following link: accessories.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/Royal-Enfield-Meteor-350cc-Accessories?keyword=givi
Would these cases fit on a shotgun?
Why don’t you guys do something about the rear suspension trust me it will be a hit product for sure
Can you fit the side frame/cases without the rack/top box??
Yes, the pannier rails and cases can be fitted on their own without the rear rack.
Do u ship in india?
Very nice fit, and shape of the luggage! Does anyone know if this bike is coming to the USA?
hi please Ur KInd advice RE 650 or Triumph speed 400 nearest Torque with a diff in weight 245 KG against 175 KG ???? can U help me to take my decision
I am afraid you will only get biased answers from us, but the RE 650 would always get our vote!
With all that luggage, you'll need a second engine ;-)
Yes, that is why I ride a Honda VTX 1300. The Royal Enfield has 650 cc's and my VTX has TWO 650 cc pistons. I can haul enough junk to fill a barn! (just being playful) ; )
The top box comes with a waterproof liner, the panniers come with waterproof liners, and the tank bag comes with a waterproof cover. Does that mean that none of these items are in fact waterproof?
I guess we may say that those panniers and that top box are water resitent. That's because, despite being made of hard plastic, they have those expandable textile parts to which the zippers are sewn on and such soft parts are more prone to water infiltrations. Hence the need to add waterproof liners inside the top box and also inside the panniers to prevent any moisture to wet what could be inside them.
Exactly what I was thinking.
Monokey, monolock is a different product line, not interchangeable
May I know the URL for purchase?

어디서 구매가능한가요?
수고하세요
Just a bloody sales add
I love Royal Enfield bikes but they don't need a Harley want to be cruiser.
Personally i think its a great idea and its selling well too
Can be opened with a pen sticking into the zippers...
Certainly very practical, but does not go at all with the style of this bike
Givi look ugly design, average quality but always selling over price at my country.
