You say that you never believe the underlying story - that's fine, that's your choice, and that choice does not make you any more correct of incorrect in your estimation of the truth of the story. But then you blow it, and lose. What a pretty puppy!! So happy he found his forever home.
I have eight rescued dogs in my yard and one of them is at my parents house with other rescued cats to keep them company. This may not be much but I was one of the people who are inspired to rescues strays because of these kinds of videos. I can't rescue any more because our lands are not that big and strays in the area are just so much. I hope that these videos will inspire other people like me to rescue strays. Despite saving these only few, I gave them a home and a second chance. Imagine what would happen if every last one of them is rescued or at least down to minimal and those in the minimal are still taken care off by people who are aware. Hope for strays!
PS: Although my rescues are very territorial, they are not very welcome to most people. I find it funny as I prefer them and my loved ones over most people. 😀
My respect and admiration for them for saving this puppy's life. Human beings like them give us hope that all is not lost in this brutal world. 🙏

A month ago I saw a post on facebook, a tiny puppy had shown up on a friends doorstep. He was skinny, dehydrated, had thousands of fleas and was filthy, plus it was over 100 degrees F, he wouldnt have last another day according to the vet. I went and got him and took him to the vet, he ended up in the hospital and the first 2 weeks were sketchy, he had horrible diarrhea and was still dehydrated. After many baths, flea treatment, lots of food and sub Q fluids Im happy to say he has been with me about a month and is a normal, healthy, playful puppy. I named him Flint, Im going to keep him. Ive since learned hes allergic to chicken, is very smart and thinks Im Mama. Thank you for helping this puppy. We can do it, one dog at a time.

This is very off-topic, but I don't think I've ever seen an animal rescued by a guy wearing a full SUIT and tie. I admit, I rarely wear one anymore either. We've all gotten so super casual and comfortable with clothes, it really stood out in the video!

The shaking reminds me of the puppies I rescued in the trash last December 2022. It was night and I was biking home from work and I heard sounds coming from a styrofoam container in the sidewalk besides the trash. There were puppies, they were suffering from fleas infection to the point their skin was already full of bruises and loss of fur. I believe that was the reason their owners threw them out. Just like the puppy in the video they were all shaking. I put them all in my bike basket and brought them home. I clean them up and took care for them. After a month, the puppies showed improvements to their skin but the shaking continued for 2 months. Now they are part of our family.

It’s crazy how some animals jus know that your there to help them and can jus forget the trauma and get comfortable enough to fall asleep like that.
