I played a lot of diff decks growing up. We hardly had 'formats' to follow. My mono black deck was always disgustingly good. Just a bunch of 2 power first strike creatures, dark ritual, hymn to tourach. Didnt even have the sink hole / wasteland i needed lols
Yeah back in those days I think every play group must have had a mono black player, ours used to always discard something massive to handsize and then animate dead it a few turns later
There are a lot of groups in the USA but depends on how much you want to travel. I live in Wisconsin and there are groups in Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana so I get to about 10 events a year. But I want to start traveling more to the events on the coasts.
@@TheDestructve Yeah I personally thought that the USA had more old school players than anywhere else and definitely has more access to old school cards than most parts of the world because thats where it was released.
@IPlayMagic I live in Texas. Big city Dallas. It's beyond cringe. Walk into any hobby store infested with commander players. And in other stores perhaps worse...gasp dragon ball z and yu gi oh players! Its endless cringe. And most stores won't even allow you to post flyers in store to try to promote the format. Some even claimed it was damaging to the store revenue. Some ridiculous excuses. I dont use social Media or Facebook groups. Something most people can't fathom

I played a very similar deck and had so much success in Los Angeles, everyone started to play it but changing the creature enchants for other cards.
Love me this old school
Too bad i live in usa. Nobody wants to play. Just commander cuks....dominate the gaming realm. A true blight
Most people play online over webcam you can find groups on facebook or links in the description of my videos
So true
