Did not work then, has never worked, because it simply can't be done. One of the worst things they did was show clips Of Hager in a real MMA fight. So you see a REAL fight as he's on the way to the ring, and then this match looked nothing at all like the clips they played coming to the ring. You get this side by side comparisson, and one could easily tell that this was not a real fight. Perfect anaylsis Mr. Cornette!!!

    • @insupportofjunhado
      @insupportofjunhado Před 2 lety +1

      Because one is an MMA fighter. But you know, there are ways to book that without implying the rest of the cards is fake and Dynamite doesn't have that kind of booker.
      Like if everyone, or every other person on the card is an MMA fighter or legitimately accomplished in some martial tradition, be it amateur wrestling, catch wrestling, Brazilian Juijitsu, Muy Thai, armed forces self defense, Valtudo, judo, police holds, etc., and they all make an effort to show it, then you can have a Unified MMA rules match on the card without everyone looking fake. A bunch of real fighters really fighting each other in a different setting that they are all used to with different rules. One tries to enforce what something else for a little while.
      Maybe you present someone else as an untrained but experienced brawler, a bouncer, bar fighter, convicted criminal, tough man contest winner or what not. A Jay Briscoe "Imma smoke this Brutal Bob then I'm gonna beat your ass" type, then it could work. He could even lose, make a good showing for himself but lose. Then try again without the unified MMA rules.
      Not even saying I could book it right, but I've booked enough to at least know there are tools that make it possible. I can't install or remove an engine from a car either, but I've worked on cars enough to know there are tools for it. After two years with Arn and Tully teaching him Khan should have booked enough to know better, the possibilities and his limitations, but I guess not. I don't get it.

    I noticed Dean shaking when he did that angle with Jericho and was hoping it was not anything serious and unfortunately they confirmed he has Parkinson's. They had AEW on either because they were just flipping channels and thought the NBA would be on at 10 but didn't know AEW has that time slot or they just were flipping channels to any sport event and just left it there until another game started either for hockey or basketball. He tells me he notices this MMA fight and wonders wtf this show is doing. His manager sees this fight and wonders why they even have this on since she didn't notice it was AEW. Then apparently one or two customers are asking why this bootleg UFC is on and the manager ends up changing it to apparently some Nascar truck race event.
