2 years ago, I made your version of this burger with a friend of mine after going through a rather stressful breakup. I remember it well because its what got me really into cooking - I started trying more and more of your recipes and looking more and more ideas up online. I went from basically being terrified of the prospect of cooking to decently competent with time, and even made my family's Christmas dinner last year. My mom had gotten saffron from a friend so I spent most of Christmas afternoon making seafood paella for my family and friends - not a traditional christmas main course, per se, but it was something fun that I enjoyed trying and it tasted pretty great (at least, my family and friends said so - they might have been sparing my feelings haha). Its just nice coming back here and reflecting on it after all this time, because your channel really was what got me into cooking, so I wanted to say thanks. (Also your background music taste is great and made its way into my Spotify playlist).

Hey uh, first of all I love your content and it always makes me hungry. Second of all, I had a flashback to a food I had seen when I was a kid in a kids show. I was fascinated with it because of its perceived perfection, and watched the episode countless times. I’m 18 now and haven’t seen it in ages, but I think you should look up the "great pie" from the Backyardigans. It’s pretty out there and doesn’t have a ton of details but I’m sure you can make it work, as I’ve seen you do more with less. Even if you never see this, I thought I’d give it a try. Thanks chief, keep up the great content
I feel so sorry for Mordecai and Rigby because they did not get a chance to eat the ultimeatum burger. Because Benson is making them chumps by getting them to work on their chores that they did not finish they were supposed to be doing.
Christopher Jordan Yeah, I agree. But I also think that Benson was really cruel in that episode and I did not like him at all that episode. I mean seriously he made Mordecai and Rigby do all these tasks, so they would not get a burger. He wouldn't even let them go nere the burger truck. I also did not like how he kept kicking them around places, laughing at how much stuff was in the garage, and ate both of theire burgers right in front of them. And by far I think those were Benson's cruelest acts in the entire series.

Yeah, Benson was a dick in that episode.
However, we learn that Benson is a character that believes in hard work and assertive action. He told Mordecai and Rigby several times to do their tasks or else and they refused.
So when the food truck showed up, it was him enforcing his authority and trying to get them to do their job properly in the future.
Did this work = No
Could he have used more positive encouragement = Yes
Would that have worked given Mordecai and Rigby's personalities at the time =.....leaning No, but maybe.
If nothing else after reading this argument, you can take solace in that
A. He got to be a better character as the series went on (and got his butt kicked when he was a jerk)
B. That he most likely broke his home toilet after eating those burgers.

If you get it Idaho style, they put on an entire bag of crushed potato chips, according to Muscle Man
I tried making the ketchup, but I couldn't find bird's eye peppers anywhere! So instead I used a habanero, and instead of regular chili powder, I used Chipotle chili powder to compliment the pepper substitute. Then I looked in my cabinet and saw I forgot the malt vinegar 😂 so I used apple cider instead. I also added a half teaspoon of red chilli flakes, and smoked paprika. Everything else I followed step-by-step. It came out amazing! Thank you, Chef Babish!!!
Instead of vinegar i used Clorox Bleach. I cant wait to feed this to my family
