The charismatic Lippizaner breed is best-known from the equitation displays of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna. Im from Slovenia. I would like to add, that Lipizzaner/Lipicanec is one of best riding lesson horses that you can have, and is commonly used in this way here.They are calmest horse you can get. And that, Austrians argued whit us 50 years ago, cuz they want Lipizzaners to be theirs, and that peice of land as well. I meen we breed them, and you were ones taking them away for your (and in that time ours) leaders, like hell nah, Lipicanec is at top of list of what we are most proud of in Slo, and they are best horsies ever.
Actually no. We had an agreement with the spanish people. If you type in lipizzaner it says its an austrian horse. Stop crying, we didnt take anything away. We had an agreement with the spanish, dont know what yall slowenians want from us.
@@EffiHD It says that they come from area of austia and LIPICA. In every book I see it writes Slovenia, not austria. and do I look like im crying. only person here that is crying is you. Original breeding farm is Lipica, and it is south slovenia 10km from italy. If the area was under austro hungarian empire at time it was created, it doesn't mean it is from austria. That agreement if you would really take time and look at was for spanish to bring some of their horses to create another baroque breed. All austrians i ever met started saying lipizzaners are austrian cuz spanish riding school in vienna used them and cuz best stallions FROM LIPICA were exported to there.

Croatia has a long tradition in breeding lipizzaners in Balkans wars in the 90s Serbs stole the whole ergele and took horses to Serbia but they been sued in international court so they had to give the remaining horses back.

Horses werent stolen but saved from sure death like 50 other killed lipizzaners from that ergele.The horses were in his care for years and were never fully his and if the owners wanted to get them they would they just didnt care youre trying to do sum but your intentions are crystal clear.
@@skilledbirdo8661 yeah yeah, I'm from Slovenia, we were listening to same excuses, everyone were just trying to protect them, but when they were safe it took ages to get them back. Bunch of crocks.
