The Super Nintendo Switch does sound cool.
The switch has such an expansive library of physical and digital games that it would be a huge blow to not add backwards compatibility, especially for the cartridges. That's the one thing that would make me buy day 1
I'm curious how the physical cases would like for it. I've grown to like the shape and color of the spine for switch games, it'd be nice if they kept the same size.
I'd love them to keep the boxes the same size... maybe change up the spine colour again to white or blue. I loved the little squares with an image of the game on the side of 3ds games, something like that on the box would be cool.
Agree 100% it would be a massive blow not to be backwards compatible. A lot of their systems are so I hope they will do the right thing.

The joycon 2s ned to be based around perfect precision gyros and a more comfortable bigger shell true wii remote chcuck replacmemts this time and a perfect mouse pointer
Perfect pointer controls would be great. I appreciate that joycon kinda married all their controllers together and that motion was still an option, but it never felt as precise as on wii motion plus.
Glad you agree about the bigger shell. Switch with the current joycon looks so sleek but I have big hands and it can be a real pain holding it for a few hours.

Some things I think about next gen is if dual screen is more likely then anyone thinks and if AR is what nintendo wants to use to change gameplay I think it is more likely
The Super Nintendo Switch needs a Super Joycon and the new joycon will be more traditional than split controls but will be very much a pro control with a small screen in the center and the main console will be a large screen that can dock to the Super joycon or the tv cradle...this could be why conflicting screen tech rumors if the joycon has an lcd and the main unit is OLED
But I do think this console idea would likely cost upwards of $500 a unit because having the multiple screens. Though having a control in ur hand with a screen and cameras on it for AR then you could watch mario jump out of the TV onto your table to collect a star and return back to the screen.
Also this would be a good move for nintendo to put ds and 3ds and even wii u games on the online service which they want to get more revenue from while still trying to keep consumers happy with the value

Hey! Yeah I hope they stick with a similar size and shape of cart ... more chance of the system being backwards compatible that way. I just would like the smallest storage size of the carts that are offered to be increased. There are lots of titles I would have purchased physically but most of the game or games aren't actually on the physical cart and it's annoying. Thanks for the comment!
Im so cofused about how people thought the Wii U was an attachment. I thought was a new system from day 1. I understand non gameers being confused, you see the system right there under the TV in the reveal trailer. but the reveal trailer needs to showcase the sytem and dock and all that, and that it is a new system
It's Alarming how stupid people are I used to take a game boy sp to work my workmates called it a playstation and many playstation gamers would call ai ing with a stick core gaming in fps games and wii remote stupid because aiming with a 3d mm presice mouse in a fps game was stupid to them BOTH PARYS ARE CLEARLY IDIOTS 😂😂

Yeah I think sometimes as gamers that are so into the hobby it's hard to see it from an outsiders view. But I guess the wii was seen as so much of a gimmick by people that they just assumed wiiu was some sort of add on when they heard about it. I must admit the first time I watched the trailer I knew it was their new system obviously, but I was so caught up with the tablet controller I remember having to go back to check what the actual unit looked like 😅
Hopefully if they are sticking to something similar to the switch it won't have a similar problem with casual consumers.

That would be awesome! Just as you say that it reminded me of something else I want them to do... bring back the eshop music in the background. I need my cheesy shopping music while I waste all my money on games 🤣🤣
If its backwards compatible I'd imagine the next iteration would have to be employing a very similar if not identical format for the carts. Which is probably gonna mean there gonna remain limited around a similar ballpark in terms of storage capacity for games. Maintaining that media type will probably mean maintaining a similar form factor. Personally I'd like to see something more akin to a game cube 2 rather than a switch 2 even if that means no back compatability

At the start of the video though I do mention that vgc are confirming that their sources have told them 2024 $400 and hybrid system. VGC is a good website and Andy Robinson is a good journalist, he wouldn't be reporting it if he just made it up. Thanks for the comment though.
@@GamingOdditiez iv seen a lot of switch rumors and they all site the same place. But its not confirmed yet. I hear it will be revealed in 2024 and released in early 2025. Making it a 8 year cycle.
That could be the case I guess. It's fun just to speculate anyway, we are all nintendo fans just wanting something cool. Hopefully we hear soon 🙂

Ok for all you wondering this is heavily false nintendo themselves said in 2022 that the switch wasn't even halfway through its lifespan so the switch 2 hasn't been confirmed
I say at the very start of the video it's my predictions based on vgc reporting that they know the new system is coming in 2024. So VGC is reporting and confirming that switch is coming 2024 and will be $400 and similar to the switch ie a handheld hybrid. Also the switch is 100% halfway through it's life, there is no way they are still supporting it in 2031 for all of those wondering.
