Tom Cardy just rode this course for his channel and talks about this. Man is a slopestyle rider who's used to big jumps and even he said it was nuts that they were doing this.
He admitted that he feels he's a high level rider, generally speaking, but the course humbled him. It truly is insane how these riders take these incredibly difficult courses and go flat out on them.
Thank you for analyzing Jackson’s run. I thought it was really interesting and wondered how much he lost in that corner. The rest of his run was amazing.

One would've thought with all the mistakes happening in the recent years in this exact corner, the new production team would put cameras there to see what's happening.
The drone shots from above were an improvement, but the corners look so easy from that angle, and then there's also that tree blocking the sight...

It's amazing to see how many critical points there are on a track. When a major one is at the end things get exciting.
The filming/camera work here is really nice - better than in previous years.
I agree with Ben saying there was improvements in both the commentary and broadcast however the bar was set low from last week. The broadcast of the junior men was the worst I’ve ever seen. Having to pay $65 for a worse product this year is disappointing. Hope it improves…… a lot!
That last corner combination is just a copy of the traverse in the Kitzbühel skiing race haha

It’s a shame the commentary and Live feed is a downgrade, but if there’s one thing we can take from the first two rounds it’s that our sport will always produce the goods! In general the media around it is better than ever and once the live coverage finds it’s feet a bit more I reckon downhill will benefit as a sport

Dude, Downhill already benefits and has been for a long time, there's plenty of brands glad to sponsor riders, even ones that don't race at all, mountain bikes are being sold of all kinds all the time and parts sell like snacks with the larger brake rotors running out of stock quickly. MTB has seen an insane increase in the last 13 years on audience and riders alike.

Horrific. I can't even understand 20% of what Cedric said, and he just randomly shouts like he is trying to copy Rob but didn't read the manual on when to be excited. The Irish guy is all good

Love the series and want you to have the best success. Couldn't Pinkbike/outside hire someone who's sole job is to organize everything ? It seems like a whole lot of stress and exhaustion for people who are racing

To say that downhill tracks are gnarly is a serious understatement. Theese people are bombing trails that people wouldn't even hike in half the time.

Is anyone else not a fan of run-ending features like that turn? Its like a test where there is a single question that will fail you no matter how much you studied or how well you did on the rest of the test. There is no line choice in it either, its just hope you can hit it perfectly and that it hasn't shifted or changed too much before your run - a tiny rock getting shifted between runs could turn a first place run into a wipeout. I know thats the nature of the sport but it all coming down to one turn makes it hard to feel like a win is conclusive.

There is a setting you have to choose the first time you are watching live then it saves it. Look around on the feed next time, it's there on one of the buttons. Can't see it on replay now since already in English.

Also, nice of you to be so kind to the commentators Ben, but it was rubbish. The other thing is the anchorperson is famously well suited to football… but, so it turns out, not DH. In fact, I’ve watched some of the other disciplines and this person is useless at that too. I mean, how does this person manage to shut down Reece? Seriously, he’s got so much to offer and as soon as his naturally self effacing on camera persona gets into ‘send mode’, boom!, he’s cut out: every time.

Mistakes are part of the game, if you overcook it, you miss your lines and you make mistakes

I dunno, I really enjoy his french enthusiasm and passion. He's actually pretty on it, noticed those punctures straight away in Lenzerheide. I really don't think he's that bad or any different to Warner. I think Ric and Cedric are doing a great job

The racing was great but I feel like I have to turn down or off for the commentary. It's just much too much. Ben, you need to be in that box.
Is anyone actually paying to watch? Lol the quality is way down from the years past. It’s not enjoyable to watch, and frankly DH tracks on the circuit are getting lamer and lamer. It’s all bike park flow. I try not to be negative but damn it’s unfortunate what’s happened to the sport :/
I pay but with 4 people it's only 1 euro per month. And yes the commentary is really a mess. And also the tracks are always the same, 70% is bikepark which every "normal" rider could ride without big problems

I love Ben Cathro but can you figure out clickbait thumbnails that DON'T SPOIL THE RACE. 100% of the races so far (both of them) screwed the drama because I went to youtube for something else and there was YOUR GRAPHIC.
