  • Kyoto Otagi Nenbutsu-ji - 愛宕念仏寺 - 4K Ultra HD : Located in the neighborhood of Arashiyama in Kyoto, Otagi Nenbutsu-Ji is a Buddhist temple famous for its 1200 rakan, or stone statues, representing the disciples of Buddha.
Founded in the middle of the eighth century by Empress Shōtoku, the Otagi Nenbutsu-ji had been destroyed many times until it was moved to its current location in 1922.
Difficult to access on foot from Arashiyama, Otagi Nenbutsu-ji does offer a stunning experience as well as treating you to some of Kyoto’s finest dishes thanks to its nearby restaurants.

Well, I actually got here and I can safely say that this is the most beautiful place I visited in Kyoto. It is only a not-very-expensive taxi ride from Arishiyama railway station. Don't miss it.

I can't agree more. Granted there are many beautiful temples and shrines within Kyoto, but there are just overcrowded and noisy that it is becoming harder and harder to enjoy them. Still this temple is beautiful really worth the troubles to go there.

I get an almost nostalgic feeling seeing the rain and autumn woodland. Looks very similar to where I originally came from in the english lake district. Except for the Tang style temples of course😉

+SportGeneration I am planning to do so, but in order to be able to do that I need more time and... money :(
So far I am concentrating on what people expect to see from Japan and as soon as I have more views and subscribers, as well as Patrons on my Patreon page, I will be able to expend my horizons and shoot such videos.
