True but this is only the stipend which we get during training.....after completing residency sky is the limit for doctors here....the annual salary goes upto 250k to 300k US dollars....

Internal medicine/family medicine doctors are actually primary care physicians and they are among the lowest earning doctors in US as compare to surgical specialists/surgeons. For primary care the starting average salary is between 180K to 250K whereas for surgeons it goes upto 450K to 500K
